AC Shadows is making noise as it continues to gain in preorders and the internet continues to dog-pile it for being an overpriced woke Ubisoft title. Par for the course. One issue that I think is being missed though - the hate helping. And not the way you think it is. Assassin's Creed Shadows is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, set to release in November 2024.

Hellblade 2 was my most anticipated title of 2024. Despite getting many things right - it takes too many steps backward from the first game (mainly combat) making the game feel more like a tech demo than a game. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a 2024 action-adventure game developed by Ninja Theory and published by Xbox Game Studios. The game serves as the sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and is set in 9th century Iceland, drawing inspiration from Norse mythology and culture.

Hellblade 2 is only days away, though by the marketing, it may be hard to tell. Today, we’re discussing the challenges facing the much-anticipated Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Set to launch on May 21, 2024, the sequel to the hit game Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is facing some hurdles. There are rumors that Microsoft might release Hellblade 2 on the PS5, which could cause issues for the Xbox exclusive’s developer, Ninja Theory. This news comes amidst reports of layoffs at Xbox, raising concerns about the game’s future. Will Avowed be another Redfall? Sitting down with Kirk from @whatsnewvideogames to discuss one of the bigger Xbox games releasing this year as the Avowed release date is set for later in 2024. After the last Xbox showcase I argued that the Avowed gameplay looked better, but Kirk doesn't seem to think so. While the Avowed combat does look clunky, I am hopeful improvements can be implemented before launch. Avowed is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios. Avowed takes place in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, in the world of Eora. The game is scheduled to be released in Q3/Q4 2024 for Windows and Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox. Once a platform now trending quickly and seemingly irreversibly toward being a publisher. The generation has not been kind to Xbox but it doesn't mean the Microsoft-backed gaming giant can't chart a new path. I think the we've already seen the first step of them moving into their new role as publisher and that more and more games will continue to land on PlayStation and Nintendo until they are almost all 3rd party.

"We said a similar thing at the end of Dark Souls 3. We didn't want to flatten those possibilities or put a pin in them just at that time. And it's a similar story with Elden Ring. We don't want to discourage the possibilities for that.
