Text-In Questions:
1) If the only animals that were left in the world were on the ark, why would Noah risk extinction and sacrifice them? Weren't there only two of each animal?
2) What was God doing for the almost year that Noah and family were on the ark?
3) What is "clean animals?" Since there was two of each animals, one male and one female. Which species didn't survive?
4) Genesis 8:21 talks about God saying that He will never destroy all living creatures as He did with the flood. 2 Peter 3:12 talks about the destruction of the heavens by fire and the elements (not sure what is meant by elements), will melt away. Isn't this just another form of destroying the current earth?
5) What about all the "sinners" that died while Noah & his family were allowed to live? This has to include children & infants. Did they deserve to be swept away by the flood waters? Could this be an allegory instead of a historical event?
6) How do Christians get the rainbow back?
7) If God doubly commanded "Be fruitful and multiply," does that mean contraception is against God's will?
8) Can you please elaborate about the practice of crossing yourself when you say in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? I thought only Catholics did this? Can we do it as a Lutheran church member?
