    Redeemed Through His Blood

Too many of us see redemption like a spiritual bank account—make deposits through good works and borrow from Jesus when we fall short. But that’s not how His grace works.

The truth is breathtakingly simple: we make no deposits, and we need no loans. Jesus paid the price in full—completely and personally—for each of us. Redemption isn’t something we earn. It’s something we receive.

In Redeemed Through His Blood, we explore the real power of Jesus Christ’s Atonement—not as a backstop for our best efforts, but as the source of healing, peace, and transformation from the very start. This podcast isn’t about behavior modification or checklist religion. It’s about learning how to access the gift already offered—and how others have found lasting hope and joy by leaning wholly on Him.

    Show notes

Some days we drift. Some days we’re off the beam. And some days we remember that Jesus doesn’t ask us to earn His love—He asks us to come to Him. In this episode, Scott and Deb get candid about unlearning old beliefs, wrestling with shame, and finding joy in daily repentance. Along the way, they share the freeing truth that salvation rests on Christ’s merits, not ours.

S4 E13 "Comfort, Healing, and Transformation: The Conditional Blessings of Christ’s Atonement" pt.3 Aug 11, 2025
    Show notes

In this heartfelt episode of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb explore the deeply personal and profoundly hopeful reality of Christ’s conditional blessings—those gifts of the Atonement that come as we align with Him. Through stories both tender and humorous (including a physical therapy mix-up that turned into a gospel conversation), they remind us how our identity shapes the way we see the world and how Christ’s compensation for life’s unfairness is both real and personal. From tangible comfort in times of loss to the quiet, healing influence of the Holy Ghost, this episode invites listeners to recognize and receive the Savior’s enabling, strengthening, and healing power.

The conversation moves from scripture-rich teaching to real-life application, covering themes like redemption from sin, strength to endure, compensation for unfairness, healing and comfort, and the transformation and sanctification that come through Christ. Whether you’re in the middle of life’s mess, longing for spiritual rest, or seeking deeper conversion, Scott and Deb testify that the Savior meets us right where we are—offering hope, peace, and the promise of becoming holy through Him.

S4 E12 When Weak Things Become Strong: Honesty, Healing, and the Grace of Christ; Conditional effects pt2 Aug 01, 2025
    Show notes

In this heartfelt episode, Scott and Deb explore the enabling and compensatory blessings of Jesus Christ’s Atonement. Building on last week’s discussion of redemption from sin, they dive into the power of honest repentance—including the vulnerability of opening our “sealed rooms”—and how Christ strengthens and transforms us through grace. With deeply personal stories of addiction recovery, learning disabilities, and unfair suffering, they testify that the Savior meets us in our mess, not after we’ve cleaned it up. You’ll be invited to consider where Jesus has made your weakness strong and how He compensates you for your undeserved pain.

This episode is a companion for anyone who’s ever felt not enough—and needs to be reminded that they are not alone, and never beyond the reach of Christ’s healing, enabling, and redeeming love.

S4 E11 Bringing Christ into the Wreckage; Conditional Effects pt1 Jul 25, 2025
    Show notes

What do you do when the damage can’t be undone? In this raw and real episode, Scott and Deb talk about those painful moments when sin, mistakes, or even things outside our control cause permanent consequences—and how Jesus Christ can still bring wholeness. They explore the Savior’s ability not just to forgive, but to repair—to heal emotions, soften hearts, and make relationships meaningful again, even when the original “problem” remains.

Using powerful personal stories, vivid analogies, and scriptural anchors, they testify that Christ's Atonement isn't just for spiritual cleanliness—it's for emotional and relational healing too. You’ll hear about parenting regrets, generational wounds, and how we sometimes cling to our own shame rather than trust the Savior’s outstretched hands. This episode is a lifeline for anyone who feels stuck in what they can’t fix. The Savior still can.

S4 E10 Before We Knew Him: The Unconditional Reach of Christ’s Atonement Jul 15, 2025
    Show notes

In this episode of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb explore one of the most hope-filled doctrines of the gospel—the unconditional effects of Jesus Christ’s Atonement. These are the blessings given freely: the sustaining strength, healing grace, and divine compensation extended even when we’re unaware, undeserving, or unready. With clarity and compassion, they unpack how Christ’s love reaches into every soul, not because of who we are—but because of who He is.

This conversation lifts burdens and quiets doubts, especially for those who feel like they haven’t “earned” Christ’s help. Scott and Deb testify that Jesus’s Atonement isn’t just reserved for the repentant—it’s at work in the trauma we didn’t cause, in the wounds we didn’t choose, and in the aching places we don’t yet know how to surrender. If you’ve ever wondered whether He’s helping you—even when you’re not doing “all the things”—this episode will answer with a resounding yes.

    S4 E9 The Glorious Unconditional Effects of Christ's Atonement Jul 02, 2025
    Show notes

What if the Atonement of Jesus Christ is already at work in your life—even before you’ve changed, even before you believed it was real? In this episode, Scott and Deb explore the unconditional power of Christ’s Atonement: how it shows up in broken families, quiet compensations for unjust suffering, and moments of strength we didn’t earn. This is grace not as reward, but as rescue—extending across every life, reaching into every kind of pain.

With stories of adoption, mental illness, trauma, and triumph, this episode opens our eyes to the quiet ways Jesus is already ministering to us, often before we even recognize it. He lifts where we didn’t know we had fallen, compensates for what life unfairly took, and strengthens us in ways we only understand in hindsight. This isn’t just about forgiveness—it’s about being seen, held, and healed by a Savior who has already chosen you.

    S4 E8 Faith Leads, Change Follows Jun 24, 2025
    Show notes

What does real faith look like—and how can it become a transforming power in your life? In this episode of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb dive deep into the doctrine of faith in Jesus Christ. Far from being passive belief, faith is portrayed here as a relational, responsive trust that moves us to act—even when we don’t see the outcome. Drawing on personal experiences, scriptures, and gospel teachings, they explore what it means to trust the Savior enough to move forward in uncertainty.

Scott and Deb reflect on the idea that true faith isn’t just about outcomes—it’s about becoming. As we choose to believe Christ, follow Him, and act on His promises, our faith opens the door to His enabling, strengthening, and transforming grace. This episode will help you see faith not as a checklist item, but as a way of life that connects you to divine power, especially when the path is unclear.

S4 E7 What Lies Beneath: The Quiet Roots of Rebellion Jun 11, 2025
    Show notes

In this episode, Scott and Deb go beyond the outward signs of rebellion to explore the roots beneath: fear and pride. While we often focus on the visible “fruit” of sin, the Savior is gently inviting us to dig deeper. Fear isolates us, pride hardens us, and both quietly keep us from receiving the healing and connection we long for.

Through scripture, story, and soul-level honesty, Scott and Deb invite us to recognize these hidden roots and begin to surrender them. This isn’t just about behavior change—it’s about trusting Christ enough to let Him transform what lies beneath.

    S4 E6 Rebellion - Burying Our Weapons of Rebellion Jun 04, 2025
    Show notes

In this powerful season opener of Redeemed Through His Blood, Scott and Deb take us deep into the heart of our fallen condition—and the Savior’s invitation to let go of the things that keep us from Him. Drawing from Alma 23 and personal reflection, they explore what it means to bury not just obvious sins, but the subtle, spiritual weapons of rebellion that linger in our lives: pride, fear, resentment, control, shame, self-condemnation, and more.

This conversation is raw, honest, and hopeful. It’s about recognizing our resistance to God's grace and learning to lay it down—not through willpower alone, but by surrendering to Christ. If you've ever struggled with perfectionism, passivity, or pain that pulls you away from God, this episode will speak directly to your heart. Come join us as we learn to bury our weapons—and become new through Him.

S4 E5 Trait vs. State: Redeemed in Our Fallenness May 20, 2025
    Show notes

In this vulnerable and hope-filled episode, Scott and Deb explore what it really means to live in a “fallen state”—and why understanding the Fall of Adam and Eve is essential to understanding Jesus Christ. Drawing from their personal journeys, recovery experiences, and scriptural insights, they discuss the difference between our divine trait and our mortal state, and how the Savior meets us in our brokenness to sculpt our identity. With tender reflections on repentance, surrender, and the role of agency, they remind us that the Fall was not a mistake, but part of a divine plan—designed to lead us back to Him.
