You'll hear:

Peter and I hit it off big time. You'll laugh + smile (a lot!)
We gush about our favorite movies.
Digressions! Tangents! We go majorly off-topic.
Then he flips it on me.
Suddenly it's The Peter Hermann Show and I'm his first guest.
In fact, we record an extra episode later on, with Peter as host and me as guest.
Subscribe to Really Famous now and get it now.
We will also talk Younger, Charles, Liza, Maggie and whether he's #teamcharles or #teamjosh - in part 2.
But there's MORE TO THIS than I can reveal just yet.

Skip Bayless Mar 09, 2021

Show notes

Skip Bayless and I get to topics big and small!

Skip, of course, is an award-winning journalist, author and TV personality. He hosts the sports opinion and debate show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe, and was previously on ESPN's Cold Pizza and First Take.

Fun fact! Skip's brother is the talented and well-known chef Rick Bayless.

Skip and I met through his wife, Ernestine Sclafani Bayless, who just published a book called Balls: How to Keep Your Relationship Alive When You Live with a Sports-Obsessed Guy, which has a chapter written by Skip and contributions from some of their celebrity friends, like Michael Rapaport and Billy Bob Thornton.

In my wide-ranging talk with this total interviewing pro (who this time was the guest rather than the interviewer), we get into:

His fascinating journey to becoming a huge TV sports guy
Behind-the-scenes dish on his TV shows, Undisputed (weekdays on Fox Sports 1), First Take and Cold Pizza.
Oklahoma, Texas, California, New York, Connecticut and Tennessee
Shannon Sharpe, Michael Jordan, Joe Namath, Mark Shapiro, Dick Schaap and other interesting people in the business
Lucky breaks
A teacher who he'll never forget
Growing up with two alcoholic parents
His difficult childhood
What his parents and his childhood did to help him become who he is today

Enjoy!

And there's a video too.

Catch it here: https://youtu.be/pjUQYrVTurY

Or simply go to YouTube.com/ReallyFamous.

Kathleen Rose Perkins Mar 02, 2021

Show notes

Netflix is making Episodes even bigger than it was on Showtime. Are you watching?

Actor Kathleen Rose Perkins (Episodes, Rules of Engagement, Grey's Anatomy) puts it all out there, warts and all. And that's a good thing! She's had major setbacks and isn't afraid to talk about them. As she talks about religion, anxiety, abortion and getting fired, you'll see the real, raw, authentic human being that she is. Just like we all are, really.

This is a classic episode - from the very beginning of Really Famous. 2017!
