Jedlie also talks about a program he lead in the late '80's that gave kids with severe developmental disabilities opportunities to develop friendships with kids in their communities.

With over 400,000 kids in the foster care system in the US there is a real need for more families to make the choice to adopt. We recognize that not all families are able to adopt or foster, but there are so many ways we can help support the adoptive and foster families in our communities.
