How many people have a tattoo that teaches them magic? Vance Huxley is here to introduce us to Ferryl Shade, a young adult novel that features a tattoo that teaches magic. While trying to outrun the local bully, Abel trips over a stone slab and something wakes up. After it helps him escape, Abel returns the favor and breaks the binding seals and finds himself apprenticed to Ferryl Shayde.

Once Ferryl takes up residence as a tattoo on his arm, Abel can see the magical creatures that live alongside us every day. Not the ones of folk tales, but their scruffy, slimy, fanged cousins. Worse, he finds that the pact that should keep them under some sort of control has failed. This is a fun read for the young and young at heart.

Ellen Jenny Watkins' mission is to create 'A million nuggets of happiness'. Because when we touch those around us with happiness, they take that forward to their circles and it helps heal the world.

Her great new book, Caterpillar and Snail tells the tale of what happens when we discover that no adventure is too big or too small to undertake if it's what you're called to do.

The underlying story of friendship serves as the backdrop for the larger message; there is much to be discovered about life and ourselves when we set out to follow our hearts — even when we don't have all the answers or the perfect plan.

Denise Fleck has created a beautiful book that helps our kids learn that we should not judge animals, or people, by there outward appearances. Her book "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover" tells a beautiful story of love between a girl who dreamed of having a fancy, pure bred dog and the shelter dog her family adopts. It is a powerful lesson that will help our kids learn not to judge an animal by its age, if it is found in a shelter, breed or other outward appearance. Jedlie's We Choose Respect Inspires Kids To Be Caring, Kind & Respectful

Helping our kids learn to identify their feelings can be the best gift we give them. And Cat Blount has written the fabulous "Book About Feelings" that will help us teach that lesson. Cat began writing stories at a very early age but never was able to complete the stories she started. A beginning was as far as she could get. Then one day, many years and many, many crumpled papers later, while entertaining her small child and nephew, she wrote her first complete story from beginning to end in less than 18 minutes. That story became one of her first titles published and she has been writing complete stories ever since.
