The world’s tallest tree towers 380 feet above the ground in California’s Redwood National Park. Named Hyperion, this tree began as a tiny seed, no bigger than a grain of rice.

Growing into a giant tree didn’t happen overnight. Little by little, day by day, the tree dug its roots deep into the soil to establish a solid foundation. This foundation enabled it to grow tall and strong.

Boys can also grow tall and strong. By establishing a strong foundation in God’s Word, they can develop strong character that will help them succeed in life.

Invest time and attention in your boys. Learn about a Proven Process that is being used across the country that’s growing boys into godly men. Learn more by visiting TrailLifeUSA.com/savingboys.

    #6: Tug of War Dec 13, 2021
    Show notes

Did you ever play tug of war as a kid? Do you remember pulling and heaving on a thick rope, trying to yank the other team in your direction?

A game of tug of war continues to this day. But instead of two teams pulling on a rope, today’s anti-Christian culture is pulling boys away from traditional, biblical values.

One of these values is the time-tested generational realization that boys and girls are different. In this societal tug of war, they insist that boys and girls are completely the same.

    But they aren’t.

In addition to physical differences, boys and girls have mental and emotional differences. And that’s okay. In fact, that’s normal and healthy.

Don’t let confusing ideology pull your boys in the wrong direction. There is a path ahead—a Proven Process for growing boys into godly men. Learn more at TrailLifeUSA.com/savingboys.

    #5: Boys Are Uninspired Dec 10, 2021
    Show notes

What inspires boys? It may surprise you! Competition. Tackling something meaningful—and succeeding…or even failing and getting a chance to try harder!.

Truth is, the ways boys are built, something must be at stake or they quickly lose interest.

If there is no risk, if nobody keeps score and everyone wins—why should boys compete? Or even try at all?

They have a built-in gyroscope that leads them to find environments that provide a challenge. If we don’t provide opportunity, where does it lead them? Straight to video games. Keeping score, achieving higher levels, failing and succeeding… this is where boys feel at home.

Let’s steal a page from the video game designer book, but let’s inspire our boys with real-life challenges.

And let them keep score. Newsflash: They are doing it anyway!

    #4: Boys Are Unappreciated Dec 09, 2021
    Show notes

Be quiet and pay attention. Sit still.

Boys are noisy and love to move—because they are boys. Plus, they know they’ve got to move for their brain and learn to be activated!

This God-infused characteristic of boys leads them to be misunderstood. What’s worse—boys are unappreciated.

There are differences between boys and girls that are God-given. Adam was created in the wilderness, then set in the Garden with structure, while Eve was created within that structure.

When gender lines are blurred, there is confusion and failure to appreciate these clear differences.

Today, boyhood is looked upon as if it’s a social disease that society is trying to eradicate.

We must provide environments suited to boys, and value what makes boys unique.

Boys are suffering by not being appreciated, but there is a path ahead—a Proven Process that you can learn more about at TrailLifeUSA.com/savingboys.

    #3: Boys Are Ungrounded Dec 08, 2021
    Show notes

Boys, especially, need clear boundaries and rules to feel secure.

More than ever, boys are struggling … They are ungrounded and searching for the Truth to guide them. But the Truth presented in scripture is being undermined at every turn—in our schools and in the media.

The generational norms that boys could always count on are eroding, and now, the majority in America no longer believes that God is the center of Truth.

Boys need an established and unmoving foundation to thrive—where good behavior is encouraged, and bad behavior discouraged.

Boys flourish when they have a clear mission and when they know who’s on their team.

Boys have lost their way, but there is a path ahead—a Proven Process that you can learn more about at TrailLifeUSA.com/savingboys.

    #2: Boys Are Unguided Dec 07, 2021
    Show notes

Where are boys to find their role models?

With the number of fatherless homes, and women forming the greater number of teachers, boys are largely unguided in terms of consistent male role models and leadership.

And while single moms are performing the herculean task of raising kids on their own, they too are wondering who is going to provide that example. Boys are left with the question: what does it mean to be a man?

They are paying a price for this confusion with suicide, crime, and drug abuse mowing them down in record numbers. Boys need a male adult mentor in order to answer this heartfelt question: what does it mean to be a man?

Listen, there is a path ahead to save our boys—a Proven Process that you can learn more about at TrailLifeUSA.com/savingboys.
