#16 Election Special! Governmental Issues and Electoral Boards Dec 13, 2018
    Show notes

Election season isn't just for candidates! Local election officials and electoral boards have many responsibilities to make elections happen. Meanwhile, local governments are asked to enforce political sign regulations and electioneering laws. Sometimes local governments get involved in elections themselves with their own referenda and public questions. With so many election-related issues, Ancel Glink's Keri-Lyn Krafthefer joins us for another election special addressing governmental issues and electoral boards! What issues does your local government face during election season? Email us at podcast@ancelglink.com! #15 Holiday Spirits and Liquor Control Dec 06, 2018
    Show notes

It's a Quorum Forum holiday special! Christy Michaelson and Ancel Glink Defense E-News (emus?) talk about inspection policies for city sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style. Then, David Silverman joins us to review recent liquor control laws that might spread more holiday cheer in municipalities. Finally, Britt Isaly discusses alcohol policies for events at municipal libraries and library districts. To subscribe to Ancel Glink Defense E-News, email us at podcast@ancelglink.com! David's Holiday Cocktail Recipe: The French 75 It's a happy, celebratory time of year, and when I think "happy" and "celebration," I think champagne. One of my favorite champagne cocktails is the French 75, a classic concoction. Here's what you need and how to make it: • 1⁄2 oz Fresh lemon juice • 1⁄2 oz Simple syrup • 1 oz Gin (I like Plymouth or Fords) • 3 oz Champagne Add all the ingredients except the Champagne into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Champagne flute. Top with the Champagne. Garnish with a lemon twist. If you don't like gin, make a French 76, which is basically the same concoction, except instead of gin you use vodka. Happy Holidays from Ancel Glink's Quorum Forum podcast!
