    Show notes

    (00:00-26:27) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday talking about last night’s victory. Tyrese Haliburton, was a simulated playoff series for them. Philadelphia is a great team. Petey the Pink Flamingo is in the house. Not deflating last night for the Pacers. Aaron Nesmith was the hero last night. We knew going into the season that the Pacers wanted to play fast. Pacers are on their way to the first NBA Cup. Jake critiques the floor for the tournament. Good news, Jalen Smith returned with the team last night on the flight.

    (26:27-38:21) – Query will admit Deshaun Watson, who has a season ending shoulder injury, had the the “It” factor. Is a Cleveland a team that can win without Watson? They have a great defense. Can Colts pass Cleveland for a playoff position? Jake thinks the Browns’ defense is elite. What’s the magic number of wins for the wild card position? Jimmy believes 10 you sweat, 11 you’re in. Jake and Jimmy predict wins/losses for Browns and Colts.

    (44-55:30) – Breaking News Daniel Theis to sign with Los Angeles Clippers? Jake was a believer of what Daniel Theis (buyout) can bring to Indiana. Chocolate delivered to the show from fan who went to Germany to watch the Colts.

    (1:00:00-1:25:00) – NFL Network Analyst Rhett Lewis joins the show to talk about the Browns, Tennessee and the AFC. Will the Colts get into the post season via the Wild Card? Looks like the Steelers are vulnerable. He’s optimistic about the Colts chances just by looking at the schedule going forward. Gardner Minshew, good enough to get the Colts through the season, or has the opposition figured him out? Picks the Georgia, Ohio St, Washington, Michigan in College Football playoffs. Says Eagles is the best team in the NFL.

    (1:30-1:45) - 3 big stories today: Deshaun Watson of Cleveland out. Jimmy, the Browns cannot win ugly like the Colts. Daniel Theis out, likely to sign with the Clippers if he clears waivers. Jake gives an update on his rental car fiasco.

    (1:5:14-1:56:30) – Callers give advice on the rental fiasco.

    (2:00-2:25) – Pacer’s writer Alex Golden from the Pacer's podcast Pacer’s coverage “Setting The Pace” very pleased with Tyrese’s play. Rick Carlisle calls Alex on the phone, “can you watch tapes for me”, who are the elite defenders, and then the 2nd tier”. Jimmy, “where does the growth for Halliburton go from here?” Jake “What has pleasantly surprised you about this team.” Alex “it’s the effort that is coming from this team.” loves Aaron Nesmith. What would he do about the NBA Tournament, and what would he do to change them. Alex would change the time of year.

    Pacers/76ers Rematch Tonight! Will Joel Embiid Play? Rob Blackman, Chris Denari, and Stephen Holder Join! Nov 14, 2023
    Show notes

    (00:00-24:30) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the Colts on their bye week and how they’re still in the thick of things for a playoff spot. Additionally, they share their thoughts on the Purdue Boilermakers after defeating Xavier last night behind another dominating performance by Zach Edey.

    (24:30-46:00) – Basketball voice of the Purdue Boilermakers in Rob Blackman joins Query & Company to access the start of the season for the Purdue Boilermakers, when will we start seeing the benefits of Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer entering the second year underneath Matt Painter, breaks down how important Lance Jones is to the success of Smith and Loyer this season, explains if there are any different wrinkles with the offense this season with over 90% of the scoring returning from last season, and how Matt Painter will balance the minutes between Camden Heide and Myles Colvin off the bench.

    (46:00-46:55) – Hour one concludes with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie rehashing the Hawaii state fish discussion from yesterday.

    (46:55-1:05:33) – Television voice of the Indiana Pacers in Chris Denari makes his first appearance on Query & Company with Jake and Jimmy where they try to convince him to work in the Hawaii state fish name into the telecast tonight. They also discuss how big of an opportunity it is tonight for the Pacers to pick up a win against Philly if Joel Embiid doesn’t play, how Bruce Brown has defended wings this season that are bigger and stronger than him, what he did between games in Philadelphia, and how big tonight’s game is for aspirations for the Pacers to make the actual in-season tournament.

The guys discuss the shortcomings of Buffalo underneath Sean McDermott, look at the teams that are in the same range as the Colts, Bills, Bengals, and Texans in the wild card, and access which team in the NFC is like the Indianapolis Colts.

They dive right into the Colts ugly win over the New England Patriots and start worrying about the offense going forward after another poor performance led by Gardner Minshew. Additionally, they touch on the Indiana Pacers losing to Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid last night.

    (26:05-43:29) – Legendary voice of the Indiana Hoosiers in Don Fischer makes his weekly stop on Query & Company to recap the crushing blow that Tom Allen’s team took on Saturday against Illinois in overtime, what’s changed the last couple weeks for the Hoosiers offense, accesses how Kel’el Ware has looked to start the season for Mike Woodson, why he thinks it’s going to take some time before we see IU playing good basketball, and what’s impressed him the most from true freshman Gabe Cupps in the first two games.

    (1:13:05-1:24:41) – Jake comes back from break by recognizing some important community events that are on the horizon with the holiday season weeks ago. He and Jimmy then start discussing if they are encouraged or worried about the Colts after the last two weeks.

    (1:30:32-1:49:48) – The final hour of today’s show starts with the guys continuing their discussion regarding C,J. Stroud because Jake believes that Frank Reich secretly wanted Stroud over Young. Jimmy states that if Stroud turns out being the generational QB from this draft because Chris Ballard was content with either him or Anthony Richardson, then he should receive all the blame for not going up to get him.
