Query and Company Full Show 12-5-23 Dec 05, 2023
    Show notes

(00:00-26:00) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday. Last night’s playoff vibe Pacer’s game. Jimmy at the Green Bay game. Last night’s Pacer’s game was like a late April game. First triple double for Tyrese Halliburton. There are still major defensive concerns for Indiana. On TNT last night “For young teams, this type of setup is invaluable”. To get the energy or pressure that would come in a playoff game. Jacksonville last night, did the Colts just get the division handed to him on a tray?

(30:00-44:00) – Last night coming home from the game, he watched what happened to Trevor Lawrence. Injury to the knee or the ankle. Is it better for the Colts if Cincinnati to win or Jacksonville to win? Cincinnati is one loss in being out of the way. High ankle sprain is the word on Trevor Lawrence. What about the NFC? Who is the best team in the AFC, Baltimore or Miami? Kansas City is resting on their laurels for whatever reason. The AFC feels like a 2nd world country right now, Baltimore, Miami, and maybe Kansas City, and maybe Jacksonville.

(44:00-56:00) – Jimmy’s trip to Green Bay. Jake finds a Team Mom for Query and Company.

(1:00:00-1:25:00) - Dustin Dopirak talks about last night’s exciting Pacers game. Who was the best player on the floor last night other than Tyrese. Dustin thinks its Nesmith. They don’t have to have a top defense to be a safe playoff team. Thinks they can win in the 47-48 range. If Dustin had the money, he would go see U2 at the Sphere in Vegas. What song would a 5 year and 98 year old would know.

(1:29:00-1:46:00) - Songs that 5 year olds and 98 year olds would know. It was a YMCA feel last night at Gainbridge Field. It was electric last night. People were loving Indianapolis last night, that’s the great thing about sports! Ambassador for Pacers liason. (1:50:00-1:56:00) – How he’s had to retain his objectivity when covering sports, but last night, his fandom came out! This is fun, and this is how it should be. It’s been too long for this city.

(1:59:00-2:26:00) Stephen Holder, Trevor Lawrence, Shaq Leonard being signed by the Eagles. The Lawrence situation.. Is the AFC South more obtainable than we originally thought? When he comes back, he may not be up to expectations. Being swept by Jacksonville is a killer, you can’t tie them you have to pass them. Minshew trusted his protection and was able to throw the ball to Alec Pierce. Not sure that Pierson will have a high catch percentage. Jake has been impatient with Alec Pierce. Reggie has been able to contectualize receiving for the receivers. Holder surprised that Wayne returned this year. Who will get into the Hall of Fame first, Wayne, Mathis. Holder “your achievements diminished by who your QB is. Wayne had Manning. Perceptions matter. Have you ever covered anything like this, so many backup QBs at the center. Parity on steriods. If the Colts make it to the playoffs, Minshew may be the only backup QB to get them there. Are guys going to be able to extend their career because there will be a need for more backups. Backup QBs are donut holes.

(2:28:00-2:45:00) 3-2– Kenny Pickett questionable? Alec Pierce calls in. Jake has been critical, but he had to remind himself that Wayne has had a year off. How much does it help that Reggie Wayne in your ear? Jimmy, “How have you pushed through with all the adversity with Richardson out, and Minshow in the QB position?” Pittman is his guy, has all his trust in. Feels like he’s improved in his route running. “What was the moment for you, that most tested the internal fortitude of Alec Pierce. “Last year, because of all the losing... used to being on teams that win.” Jake, “what helped you get through that year?”.

(2:47:00 -2:56:00) Jimmy POTD, JMV comes in, Jenny McCarthy or Cindy Crawford?
