    Show notes

    (00:00-24:09) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing some of the things that Shane Steichen said about his team entering year two. Tennis Olympic medalist Rajeev Ram joins Jake & Jimmy to share what the experience was like in Paris, explains what is like living in the Olympic Village, assesses how true it is that Olympians “let loose” once they are done competing in their event, compares this Olympic run to his first time medaling with Venus Williams, shares how much pride he had representing the United States on the podium with him being a first generation American in his family, and provides some clarity to Jake on how an Olympian goes through TSA with a medal.

    (24:09-41:12) – NBC Sports Swimming Analyst Rowdy Gaines makes a return to Query & Company to highlight some of the countries that outperformed his expectations, compares Leon Marchand to Michael Phelps with how dominant he was in the pool for France, wholeheartedly believes that Lily King will be competing in the 2028 Olympics with it being held in the United States, and provides what his experience has been like traveling around to different events now that swimming is complete.

    (41:12-47:22) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake and Jimmy discussing the struggles for the Chicago White Sox with Jake mandating that their losing streak ending tonight.

    (47:22-1:11:18) – Dustin Dopirak from the Indianapolis Star joins Query & Company to preview Team USA’s quarterfinal game this afternoon against Brazil, highlights who he believes would be the biggest challenge for Team USA following their game against Brazil, tries to predict if Tyrese Haliburton will get any minutes in any of the final games for Team USA, and does believe that if Haliburton was a better defender, then there is a good chance Derrick White wouldn’t have been selected to replace Kawhi Leonard.

    (1:11:18-1:26:22) – Whilst out at training camp yesterday, Jake noticed something when it comes to the Indianapolis Colts and the rest of the NFL during training camp. It leads to a large conversation about how teams approach camp and a bigger discussion on practicing on different surfaces during camp compared to playing on during the season.

    (1:26:22-1:32:46) – Jake and Jimmy conclude hour two by discussing how Andrew Nembhard is performing for Team Canada in their quarterfinal game against France.

    (1:32:46-2:08:19) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder is the final guest on today’s edition of Query & Company to weigh in on where things are at with the safety battle for the Indianapolis Colts, assesses if they are running out of time to get a player in at that position to get them up to speed prior to week one, does believe that Jonathan Taylor will be one of the select few that won’t play in the preseason because of his workload during the season, and evaluates how comfortable Anthony Richardson looks this year compared to last year.

They debate how this Olympic experience can be a learning lesson for Tyrese Haliburton. Also, they touch on the Chicago White Sox needing to contact Jake to attend a game.

    (26:19-40:44) – Jake and Jimmy discuss Jake’s dislike for Phish and fish. They also congratulate Carmel resident, Rajeev Ram, on winning silver in the Tennis Men’s Doubles on Saturday.

    (00:00-31:02) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the Hall of Fame game last night between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans. They each share their thoughts and the rules on the new kickoff rule.

    (31:02-45:37) – With the Hall of Fame game being suspended and then called early last night, Jake says that the “Football Gods” are starting to agree with fans that don’t want the game anymore or preseason football for that matter.

    (45:37-52:48) – Jake and Jimmy close out the first hour of the program with Jake asking Jimmy and Eddie to answer his question that he posed at the end of last segment. Additionally, they reveal how much of the Olympics coverage that they have consumed.

    (52:48-1:21:06) –Hour number two of the show starts with Jake and Jimmy discussing how they haven’t heard anything about how Jonathan Taylor has looked in camp compared to last year. During their conversation about the Colts rushing attack, Eddie informs them about a guest they are having on the show next week. It leads to them talking about that team because Jake has bought in.

    (1:21:06-1:39:01) – Earlier today Team USA lost to Morocco 4-0 in soccer. Jake asks Jimmy about the magnitude of the loss because he has questions about the United States Olympic soccer team. It leads to a larger conversation between Jake and Jimmy about why Jake believes the rest of the world is starting to catch up to the United States in a handful of sports.

    (00:00-26:35) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting some of the things that happened today at Colts training camp and focus on the role that Alec Pierce could have within the Colts offense if he has a good camp and preseason. They also get into the Olympic events that they watched last night and debate what sport will be in the next Summer Olympics.

    (26:35-38:52) – Colts defensive back JuJu Brents joins Query & Company fresh off of practice number five to describe why people should not be so pessimistic about the corner backs on the roster, highlights some of the things he noticed immediately that were different from college football to the NFL, identifies Josh Downs as the guy that has really helped him improve some of skills, states that Adonai Mitchell is going to be special because of the skills that he brings, and shares something that he wanted to improve on going into training camp.

    (1:40:40-2:08:42) – The final guest of today’s show is Marian Knights basketball coach Pat Knight to highlight how things have gone since he was hired, shares how beneficial it has been having Todd Howard on his coaching staff, reveals how the Indiana Pacers scouting department graded Johnny Furphy during the season when they were watching him, dissects what he witnessed from Jarace Walker in Summer League, and finds out from Jimmy that Marian’s exhibition game against Indiana will be on the one-year anniversary of his father’s passing.
