Last week we guessed who he might leave off, this week we focus on his worst rankings. What sport would the SuperFriends cover if they weren't covering the NFL? We all have a few issues with certain rules/concepts across the league, so a listener encouraged us to steal a few from other sports that could make sense. And at this point there are countless alternate jerseys, but which ones are our favorites?

Top 100 NFL Players of 2021: Breaking down Pete Prisco's full list (Football 6/2) Jun 02, 2021

Show notes

It's an annual tradition unlike most others. Pete Prisco grinds for weeks to come up with a comprehensive and thought-out list of the Top 100 players in the NFL. CBSSports.com releases the list. And then the internet tears it apart. But could this year be different? Prisco joins host Will Brinson to discuss all elements of the Top 100 including omissions, which Browns fans would say are led by the absence of Baker Mayfield. We cover how Pete determines positional value, how to weigh injuries, the track record of veterans and status of unproven young players. We'll give away just 1 more secret: Patrick Mahomes remains #1 on the list. Listen to find out the rest!

Top 25 Players Under 25: How to rank elite young QBs like Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert & Kyler Murray (Football 6/2) Jun 02, 2021

Show notes

It's that point in the offseason where you're about to get hit with a ton of lists. And here's one we'll start with: the Top 25 players in the NFL under the age of 25. Cody Benjamin joins Will Brinson to break down his rankings, including players he had too high, too low and those he got just right. As you listen, remember that guys like Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey and Josh Allen are ineligible for this list. Otherwise, they'd be at the top! Also, no rookies. You can expect Trevor Lawrence next year. After those important disclaimers (3:15), we recognize the players that barely missed (8:30), which include a crop of 2nd-year WRs like Tee Higgins and CeeDee Lamb. However, Jets OT Mekhi Becton might be the most glaring omission Cody made according to Brinson. The guys tackle 25-11 on the list before hitting the Top 10 (23:00). 4 QBs make their way into the top 8, but how are Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray slotted? What would your order be? That upper echelon also features 3 wide receivers and 3 stud defenders. Listen for all the analysis on the 2021 Top 25 Under 25!

Early 2021 NFL MVP Futures + Week 1 Odds worth betting now (Football 6/1) Jun 01, 2021

Show notes

June 1 and we're already thinking about how we can make money in September and again in February. R.J. White joins Will Brinson to break down MVP futures (3:00) and Week 1 spreads (30:15). First, the guys find the best value on the board for MVP candidates, identifying their top picks, value bets and longshots. Dak Prescott is certainly the Comeback Player of the Year favorite, but could be worth some cash to capture Most Valuable Player. Sure, the NFC East is far from elite, but Jalen Hurts might actually offer some value if the Eagles are able to exceed expectations. R.J. and Will are already eyeing plenty of Week 1 picks that make sense to jump on now before the spread changes over the next few months. Lock in to their early locks on this episode!

📬 Mailbag: The Great Kirk Cousins debate, Ranking Oklahoma QB products, Panthers' future Hall of Famers (Football 5/31) May 31, 2021

Show notes

Will Brinson, Ryan Wilson and John Breech answer YOUR mailbag questions which were left attached to 5-star reviews on Apple Podcasts. First, the guys predict who Pete Prisco will notably leave off his Top 100 list this year (set to be released Tuesday on CBSSports.com) (3:15). Then, the show turns into a comprehensive Kirk Cousins breakdown and comparison series vs. other QBs around the league (15:00). Would you rather have Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr? How about Kirk Cousins or Jameis Winston? Plenty of hypotheticals are covered during this segment. The Panthers were established in 1995 so they currently have minimal Hall of Fame representation, but that should soon change. But how many of their guys will get into Canton (36:00)? Julius Peppers appears to be a lock, but Steve Smith and Luke Kuechly might present a bit more of a debate. Oklahoma has become a QB factory recently with Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts set to be starters next year and current Sooners QB Spencer Rattler on his way to the league. How would the Superfriends rank those four in five years (48:00)? Lastly, some talk about more international prospects getting a chance in the NFL (55:45).
