Blu-ray Picks (Patreon Bonus) Mar 08, 2022

Show notes

In this bonus episode, we give a little taste of the kinds of things we do in terms of content for our Patreon Subscribers. Every month we do two bonus episodes that are typically exclusive to Patreon - our Blu-ray Picks episodes and our Hangout episodes. For the Blu-ray picks, we run through the release calendar for the next month (in this case we are talking about Blu-rays for the month of February 2022). For the Hangout episodes, we talk about new films we've been watching as well as some others (often discards from previous or upcoming episodes of the show).

We offer two tiers for Patreon - a $1/month tier and a $5/month tier. With the $5 tier you get both bonus episodes every month. If you like the show and are looking for some way to offer support or gratitude, Patreon is a great way to do it. Sign up over at https://www.patreon.com/purecinemapod

Fun City Cinema (Bonus) Nov 15, 2021

Show notes

For this bonus episode, Brian and Elric interview film writer and author of the new book Fun City Cinema - New York City And the Movies That Made It - Jason Bailey. Jason has done a wonderful job encapsulating and curating a bunch of great New York films whilst also intertwining them with the real life narrative of the city itself and what was going on with it at the times these movies were made. It's a delightful coffee table sized book and gets a high Pure Cinema recommend.
