    Today’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett and Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy is all about the Masters and the incredible win by Rory McIIroy. How did he pull it off? Jim and Puck talk about the emotional roller coaster they were on, the incredible shots he hit, the not so incredible shots he hit and how he was able to stay so focused throughout his round. Rory wasn’t the only big winner from Sunday, Jim took home nine thousand dollars on bets he made with Rory and Justin Rose!!! Puck and Jim wrap up the abbreviated show today with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Mariners keep winning and have a great shot in a crappy A.L. West.

    On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett opens up the show with Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, who is back after being out this week getting over a cold. Jim details his trip to Pullman where he went to celebrate Parents weekend with his kids. Jim went golfing with one of his son’s girlfriend’s father and ended up tipping over their golf cart. Jim recaps the hilarity that followed. They briefly touch in on the M’s, but mainly focus on the Masters and the near collapse in the first round from Rory McILroy and their hope that he can keep it going over the weekend. Jim and Puck also talk about a new golf course being considered in Westport, Washington called Westport Golf Links, which is being designed by David McLay Kidd, who built Bandon Dunes and Gamble Sands. Jim departs from the show because he’s still under the weather and Puck welcomes Chris Egan from KING 5 to the show for his weekly visit. Egan is back after spending last week in Arizona for spring break. Egan and Puck talk about why it’s so hard for this state to get no brainer ideas done like the golf course in Westport, adding sports like lacrosse, flag football and pickleball to be officially recognized by the WIAA in our state. Egan also details his trip to Arizona and how he and other parents watching their kids play in a junior college baseball game lose it with some bad umpiring. Puck details his mishap with his little league team and how both he and Egan need to learn from their mistakes in dealing with umpires. Chris also details finally taking his shirt off in the pool, his love for In-and-Out Burger, renting an airbnb, High Noons and why doesn’t he live in the sun! Puck also welcomes “The Scout”, his Friday weekly chat with an anonymous MLB scout who has been covering the sport for 30+ years. They talk about the top players he has ever scouted in Washington, plus, this year’s crop of high school talent has four very good players with all four having a great chance to be drafted very high. They get into the current state of the Mariners and all their injuries, specifically to Ryan Bliss and Victor Robles. What impact will their losses have on the team? “The Scout” details whether or not there is help down in Tacoma with Cole Young, Ben Williamson and Tyler Locklear. Puck wraps up the show with “Hey, What the Puck!?” Another college football horror story.

    Daily Puck Drop, Thu., Apr. 10 - Masters holiday, Tyler Shough a Seahawk? Mariners stupid win Apr 10, 2025

    Today’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett opens up with Puck talking about yesterday’s insanely crazy, stupid and fun Mariners win. Can this type of win carry over? We’ll find out. What they do need is the enthusiasm of Randy Arozarena to carry the team with the absence of Victor Robles. Puck then welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network to the show to get the latest on the NFL, the NFL draft, Geno Smith feeling “disrespected”, Seahawks draft rumors, how far could Sheduer Sanders fall and when will Aaron Rogers sign with the Steelers. Puck switches gears and gets a Seahawks perspective on the draft with Michael-Shawn Dugar from The Athletic. How much pressure is John Schneider feeling heading into this draft? What do the Seahawks need to accomplish with there first three picks? Are the Seahawks in love with quarterback Tyler Shough? Puck goes back to baseball for his his weekly visit with Brad Adam, ROOT Sports. Puck and Brad celebrate day one of the Masters. The Mariners pull off an improbable win vs. Houston. The injuries are mounting for Seattle and they are not built to sustain these injuries. How did Ryan Bliss play through a torn biceps? The lack of moves in the offseason will haunt Seattle. It’s time for the Mariners key players like Julio, Cal and Arozarena to pick it up and carry this offense. The series win for Seattle was much needed and now the Rangers come to town with a team leading the division but their offense hasn’t done much. Puck recaps the early action of the Masters, which is brought to you by Synthetic Turf Northwest. Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Luka Doncic emotional in return to Dallas.

    Today’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett opens up the show discussing the Mariners and yet another one run loss and another frustrating night at the plate with runners in scoring position and strikeouts. Puck’s guest list features Travis Fulton, host of the Stripe Show Podcast and TravisFultonGolf.com to preview the Masters and gives you inside knowledge of Augusta and gives you some surprise names to look for as the Masters gets underway Thursday. Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftblog.com stops by to chat about the upcoming draft and shares his thoughts on why he thinks the Seahawks may trade up in the second round and what would surprise and frustrate him with their first round pick. Our MLB Insider Ryan Divish checks in from Havre, Montana where he’s currently taking a break from covering the team to coach his stepsons travel ball team. The Mariners continue to struggle with RISP and strikeouts and now injuries are mounting for a team that can’t afford them. The offense continues to struggle and Puck and Divish try to figure out why. The main issue with the Mariners is talent vs. execution.     On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular Tuesday guests, Jim Duquette, MLB Network radio, Danny Kelly from The Ringer and John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com.


    Puck opens the show discussing last night’s Mariners game and the razor edge margin that they play with every night. Puck was able to find a couple of things that the offense is doing well and he hopes it continues. Puck also touched in on last night’s national title game won by Florida and he wishes the officials would have stayed out of the outcome. He also touched in on the Geno Smith comments where the former Seahawks quarterback felt disrespected.


    Jim Duquette, MLB Network Radio, drops by for his weekly visit and they discuss the Vlad Guerrero Jr. massive contract and what impact that has on impending free agents. Two former Astros players are off to great starts with their new teams, Kyle Tucker with the Cubs and Alex Bregman with the Red Sox. 11 games into the season and the Mariners have already ditched their plans for Jorge Polanco at third base. The Rangers are off to a fast start but it’s not their offense getting the job done.


    Danny Kelly from The Ringer drops by and discusses all things NFL draft. What would surprise and anger Danny at #18 for the Seahawks? Danny is focused on position group he wants the Seahawks to address. Lastly, what did he make of Geno Smith’s comments that he felt disrespected?


    John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com pays his weekly Tuesday visit. They begin the show with breaking news in the NBA that Mike Malone has been fired by the Denver Nuggets. The NBA is a tough and unfair profession on coaches. John shared his thoughts on the national title game in college hoops and he hopes the committee will once again reward mid-major programs. Still no announcement on a Pac-12 media deal, but John did learn that the conference recently restarted conversations with UNLV about potentially joining once the legal issues with the Mountain West Conference are solved. Finally, Puck and John discuss the heartbreaking story involving a six year old boy by the name of William Jackson and his daunting battle with a rare genetic disorder and his parents are helping to raise money for treatment and how we in the community can help out. What wouldn’t we do for our children?


    Lastly, Puck wraps up the show playing a clip from The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s weekly appearance on what Seattle wants and should do at 18 in the upcoming NFL draft. The Brugler podcast is normally just for Puck’s Posse members, but he opened up this weeks episode for everyone. Also, “Hey, What the Puck!?” Puck circles back to the theme with Canzano, “what wouldn’t we do for our children?”

    On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is riding solo as Jim Moore is out on this Monday because he called in sick after spending all weekend in Pullman for Moms Weekend. Are we buying this? Puck opens up the show taking about the Mariners 3-7 start and he discusses the comments from Julio who says the team should not be panicking and that they are in a good spot. Puck also discusses the Victor Robles catch and injury, plus, the injury situation with Jorge Polanco and the M’s offense can’t sustain these injuries and their style of play over 162 games. It’s Masters week and Puck announces the Puck the Picker Majors Pool with the grand prize being a night stay and two rounds of golf at Gamble Sands. Puck also promotes the debut of the Groz with Gas Take 5 podcast which comes out later this afternoon on Pucksports.com. Puck then welcomes Matt “Stretch” Johnson and Steve Sandmeyer for episode three of The Sports Pit. The boys cover another Victor Robles, Sandy back golfing, Sandy being fired as a bat boy, 90’s Mariners team, the Kingdome, Edgar’s bat, Lou Pinella and who do we have for The Masters.     On Friday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy from the side of the road in desolate eastern Oregon as Jim is on his way to see his kids in Pullman for Dad’s Weekend. Puck and Jim try to cram in as much as they can before Jim’s internet will finally give out! Jim is bothered that Emerson Hancock was sent down to the minors for Luis F. Castillo and he’s bothered that the Mariners PR department has come up with a bunch of unique factoids with both Castillo’s pitching back to back. The Masters begins next week and Puck and Jim chat about the Puck the Picker Majors Pool that is Puck’s season long golf pool that includes the grand prize for a night stay and two rounds of golf at Gamble Sands! Puck claims he can beat Jim in Horse and they have wagered $100 bet when Puck comes down to Bend for Memorial Day. No Friday show would be complete if it didn’t include Friday Voicemails. On this weeks edition we hear from Spicolli from fast Times at Ridgemont High and his thoughts on the Mariners and Geno Smith from Las Vegas. After Jim’s internet finally dies out, Puck announces a new podcast produced by PuckSports.com and it involves two Seattle sports radio legends, Groz and Gas. The new podcast, Groz with Gas Take 5 will be released every Monday at noon on all platforms including YouTube, Apple and Spotify and you can find their full catalog of shows at PuckSports.com.     On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular guests, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network. Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic and Brad Adam, Root Sports. Puck opens up the show talking about yesterday’s Mariners win over the Tigers and Tarik Skubal. Luis Castillo was great. Dylan Moore made a great play in the infield and the bullpen is getting reinforcements. Puck welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network to recap the owners meetings in Florida. Why did the owners table the tush push? Mike explains that it will eventually be banned by the owners. They also discussed the changes to the overtime, and slight modifications to the kickoff. Aaron Rogers is still a free agent and will he eventually sign with the Steelers? NFL draft is weeks away and Mike says he’s expecting a flurry of draft day trades. Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic drops by to discuss the Seahawks offseason. Does Dugar believe Mike Macdonald when he says he feels his team can with the Super Bowl? Is John Schneider’s offensive line philosophy flawed? Lastly, what if anything would surprise Dugar with what the Seahawks would do with the 18th overall pick. Puck switches back over to baseball and Brad Adam, Root Sports pays a visit to recap the first week of the Mariners season, the flawed offense, Brad’s upcoming visit to San Francisco, Puck sitting in Diamond Club, M’s bullpen getting help and this is the offense you’ll get all season. Puck and Jim start off the show talking about their love of Dairy Queen and the revelation that you can get chocolate ice cream in your blizzard…who knew!? They switch gears to talk about last night’s miserable Mariners game and how they managed just one hit. Tension and anger is growing among Mariners fans and it’s justified. Jim sticks around as Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com stops by while on holiday in Sweden to discuss the upcoming NFL draft and why he thinks the Seahawks could surprise everyone and take a wide receiver with their first round pick. The thought has left Puck sick to his stomach. Puck says goodbye to Rob and Jim and says hello to his weekly Mariners guest Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times. Divish explains in great detail his decision to take a sabbatical from covering the Mariners for the next four months to move back to Montana and coach his stepson’s baseball team.
