In this episode we discuss the myth that the United States role in the world has been to advance the cause of freedom and democracy. The reality is that a long, well documented history shows that the U.S. has always advanced the interest of corporate America both at home and abroad, usually at the expense of the citizens. The U.S. has, through coups and assassinations, assisted multinational corporations in their efforts to exploit the resources and citizens of many countries around the globe. In this episode we discuss in detail the first of these coups, the over throw of the sovereign kingdom of Hawaii by a cabal of rich businessmen and officials in the U.S. government. This first coup set the stage for many to follow. We discuss how the CIA, headed by corporate attorney Allen Dulles, was responsible for many of these international crimes, doing the bidding for United Fruit Company, British Petroleum and others. Understanding how these bribes, threats, coups, military interventions and assassinations irreparably damages America's image in the world and is vital to understand the true reasons "they hate us". Knowing this history gives us a starting point for taking our government back and restoring our image abroad - if we can.
