Age of Sigmar 3.0 is finally here! Tune in for a run down of the major new changes and how it'll impact your games in the Mortal Realms.
Better late than never! (Episode shownotes to follow)
Today I'm joined by Jim Vesal, to talk all about how a new edition of Age of Sigmar might learn from the recent developments in 40k, notably the transition from 8th edition to 9th edition.
There's been plenty of mechanics that both games have "stolen" off each other, but which will make it over into AoS 3.0...
Jim's various channels can be found in his LinkTree.

James joins me for another episode of our continuing "Broken Realms - Morathi" coverage, this time talking about two lists that he has designed with Matched Play games in mind, using the new rules.
Not wanting to be left out, I talk about a slightly odd left-field choice that players may want to consider. I'm seriously considering it myself...

Today I'm joined by Nathan Prescott to talk all about one of his long-term loves, and a favourite faction of mine, Gloomspite Gits!
We talk about Squigs, Squigs and more Squigs. Rather convenient, given the recent release of the Jaws of Mork Tome Celestial in White Dwarf. We also discuss the faction more widely, talking about what makes the Gitz so fun to play and such a unique force in Age of Sigmar
Nathan will be returning to the show in the future to help me design a Spiderfang list worthy of Da Bad Moon!

In today's podcast I'm joined by my co-host from Ashes of the Imperium, Steve Foote! As anyone who knows or follows Steve will undoubtedly know, he's absolutely mad for narrative gaming!
I ask him what it's like being a narrative gamer in a meta that's dominated by Matched Play events.
We also talk about the different approaches to the game, how he balances his expectations when gaming against competitively-focused opponents and all sorts of other Age of Sigmar goodness.

In today's podcast I'm joined by returning guest, JP Ganis. We discuss the changes to the meta brought about by the recent release of the GHB2020 and how players might react.
One of the most significant changes in the GHB2020 is how Battlefield Roles interact with scenarios, but is it possible to over-correct to deal with this new change? How are the other developments in this season of the game going to impact list-writing and game-playing?
Listen to find out our thoughts!
What will you be changing about your list in the wake of the GHB? Let us know! We'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Oddly, for an Age of Sigmar podcast, I spend a lot of today's episode talking about Warhammer Fantasty Battle with Jamie Perkins!
Jamie, a game designer, discusses his thoughts on why Games Workshop may have felt the need to kill off WHFB and replace it with AoS.
With the recent 5 year anniversary of AoS, coupled with the recent General's Handbook, it seemed a good time to reflect on the past and the decisions that brought us to where we are now.
If you think differently, get in touch! We'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Today’s episode is rather special in that I have invited a number of hobbyists from across the community to celebrate this fantastic game that we play. Age of Sigmar is five years old and has grown immeasurably since its release half a decade ago.
We’re joined in this episode a whole bunch of people from all across the community. Some are matched play gamers, some are narrative fanatics, some are hobbyists and painters. You’ll undoubtedly recognise some names but just as important is those that you don’t. The hobby, and the wider community, is made up of all sorts of people, each enjoying the game in their own way.
Whilst we tend to focus more on the Matched Play side of things here on Priority Roll, I wanted this episode to be a celebration of the game and the community that we’re part of.
We’re very lucky to share this hobby community with such a huge bunch of awesome people, from all over the world and our diversity as a community, and our acceptance of such, is part of what makes the Warhammer scene so awesome.
Here’s to another five amazing years of Age of Sigmar and thank you to all my guests on today’s podcast for taking part in this celebration.

We discuss the state of the meta in Sweden before the global changes to wargaming events and also how Swedish wargamers have been getting their fix of Warhammer during these interesting times.
Per guides me through his podium-winning Seraphon list and we talk about the various advantages of Terradons, Salamanders and other options in the Seraphon Battletome.

In today's episode I'm joined by Benjamin Savva from Studio Erstwood to talk all about the Seraphon list he's been busy writing in lockdown!
Benjamin and I are both huge fans of the new Battletome, with Mr Savva even going as far as saying that he thinks it's one of the best Battletomes out there, if not the best! He's fairly confident that once tournaments are back on the menu, he'll be smashing up the top tables in the name of the Azyr!
Excitingly, Benjamin's list even contains a Skink Oracle on Troglodon! Listen to the episode to find out more.
Benjamin can be found as @Studio_Erstwood on both Twitter and Instagram.

Today I'm once again joined by Byron Orde from Facehammer, this time to talk about paint schemes and colour theory!
Byron discusses his tips and techniques, as well as the theory behind them, to make great looking armies regardless of your painting level. Despite being an award-winning painter himself, this episode is aimed at everyone, not just those with uber painting skills.

Today I'm joined by Byron Orde from Facehammer to talk about building an army around a strong theme. With so many people looking at doing an #IsolationArmy project, we thought now would be a good time to chat about what ideas or concepts you could use to build an army from.
We discuss basing our theme around a certain type of model (in this case, the Orruk Rogue Idol) or a certain type of concept (speed) and come up with two interesting lists.
Let us know if there are any list concepts you'd like discussed on future episodes!
Look forward an upcoming future episode with Byron where we'll discuss different approaches to painting.

Today we're talking Tzeentch! On this episode, I'm joined by the winner of Heat 1 of the 2020 Age of Sigmar GT season, Chris Caves Jr.
Chris narrowly missed out on a podium in the 2019 GT season, despite going 5-1-0, due to soft scores. With the new-style pact implemented by the WHW Events Team and the power of the new Tzeentch book, Chris was ready to return and take another shot at the top spot.
We talk about his list, Tzeentch as a whole and much more besides. NB: This was recorded pre-FAQ.

Returning guest Steve Curtis and infamous AoS villain Laurie Huggett-Wilde join me today to talk about Brotherhood, an Age of Sigmar team tournament hosted by Chris Tomlin. We discuss how team events differ from singles, what this mad "match up" process is all about and what that all means from a list design perspective. Later this week we will be publishing a series of "minisodes" talking with some of the Team Captains from the Brotherhood teams about their teams and their lists. If you'd like to refer to the tournament pack we discuss during this episode, then feel free to grab it here. Laurie's Twitter is here. Today I'm joined by Steve Curtis, one of the head TOs from the team behind Bloodshed in the Shires, a competitive Age of Sigmar event in Buckinghamshire, UK.
I ask Steve about his approach to running the event, why he wanted to run it and what challenges he faced along the way. We dig into his reasoning behind the scenarios he picked and why he decided to run a tweaked version of the Malign Sorcery rules, rather than the whole rule-set.
If you'd like to refer to the tournament pack we discuss during this episode, then feel free to grab it here.
Results for the event are here.

Today I'm joined by Matt Gouldesbrough, who recently placed 5th at Blood and Glory with none other than Seraphon!
Matt took a finely tuned counter-meta Seraphon list designed to face what he thought was the biggest threat of the weekend, Slaanesh.
Strangely enough, none of his opponents were fielding Slaanesh armies so we talk about how his list holds up when facing lists that it hasn't been built specifically to destroy.
We discuss Seraphon as a faction overall, Matt's experiences at Blood and Glory as well as our hopes for what a future Seraphon release would contain.
