Secure Your Perimeter! May 19, 2017

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

This go around our host Forrest & Kyle will be discussing how to secure your perimeter. Choosing and knowing your terrain is imperative to proper home security. It’s time to consider what supplies and tools you will need to protect your castle. If you live in a city and bugging out is your only option we’ll be discussing how you can secure your perimeter as well. Traveling in unknown territory is daunting enough without having to worry about intruders. At the beginning of the hour Kyle will be discussing his conspiracy of the week. This time he will be discussing Edgar Cayce’s predictions for the United States. In particular, the divine of the nation by water. People around the country for sometime have reported visions and dreams of the US suffering some horrible natural disasters. So what does it mean to secure your perimeter? This is something every family should do now; even if you’re just considering securing your home from criminals. Small things, like replacing your locks, screws, and adding more physical barriers is just the beginning. It’s always recommended you do a security walk of your own property from the perspective of a criminal. If they want in bad enough they’ll find a way.The next step is considering what adjustments you may need to make for events like societal and economic collapse. How could you deal with large numbers of intruders? The answers are actually more obvious than most realize. If you don’t learn your history you may be doomed to repeat it. So we will be taking a few notes from the Roman Empire for your everyday prepping repertoire. In closing Forrest & Kyle will be discussing several force multipliers that can be used to secure your home now and later.http://preppingacademy.com/

Survival Medicine with Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy! May 12, 2017

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

Survival Medicine with Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy!Welcome to “The Prepping Academy.” This week we’re going to be joined by special guest Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy. That’s right, from “The Doom and Bloom Survival Medicine Hour.” Together they have written “The Survival Medicine Handbook.” Dr. Alton also has a New York Times Bestseller “The Ebola Survival Handbook.” The two are mentioned, or sources by several other authors on their works.Beginning the hour, just like every other week, we’ll partake in “Kyle’s Conspiracy of The Week.” This week we’re going to be talking about things that you know, but you don’t really know. What? Have you ever heard of the “Mandela Effect?” The conclusions of this theory range from time traveling tampering with history to super hadron colliders creating alternate universes. The most frightening part of this conspiracy? Kyle is going to demonstrate it for you. Prepare to have your mind messed with.Prepping had so many avenues, skills, and tactics to learn that someone could spend two or three life times trying to get prepared. So it’s always nice when someone else comes along and takes a lot of the guess work out of it for you. Maybe they even write a great book so you can further your education from home. Well, that is the case with Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy. Medical training and education is not cheap. Their book won’t prepare you for brain surgery, but it can certainly help in life or death scenarios.Unfortunately, many Preppers have all the gear, but so little training. Dedicate the time to listen, buy, and educate yourself. People like Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy are disseminating priceless information here. Don’t count on running in to a doctor or nurse after the grid goes down.http://preppingacademy.com/https://www.doomandbloom.net/

Essential Prepper Gear and your Money May 05, 2017

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

Welcome to “The Prepping Academy.” Join us live this Friday as we talk about essential Prepper gear. In the Prepper community there seems to be two prevailing purchasing strategies for gear. Buy cheap and buy often, or buy once cry once. Some Preppers buy some of the absolute cheapest gear possible from sites like Aliexpress and buy as many as duplicates as they can. Others do a ton of research and buy high end.As with every show, we’ll begin with Kyle’s conspiracy of the week. This week he’ll be diving in to a little bit of the paranormal. Demonic possession. It may sound crazy, but he’ll be discussing secret societies that are literally inviting demons in to our world, what their agenda is, why it matters, and what we can do about it. Even if you’re not a believer, it’s important to note some of the most evil individuals in the world are and this is what spurs their actions. “Know your enemy.” And no, this isn’t a Sun Tzu quote. The first thing Forrest and Kyle we’ll be breaking down is the basic “essentials.” Items that every Prepper must have. When it comes to Prepper gear we’ve never met a Prepper who doesn’t want their product to last. For a Prepper, things like lifetime warranties don’t matter much. After all, who is going to be manning the phone at Surefire or EOTech after the crap hits the fan? Product testing, torture, and personal reference is key. If you can afford to have multiples obviously you want them, but with weapons sights that run $600 plus that’s not always practical. With that said, what items should you buy cheap and buy often? Having redundancies and items with interchangeable parts can be a real headache saver. So how do you find the balance? Listen in to Kyle and Forrest as they discuss. There are bound to be some differences of opinion on this one.http://preppingacademy.com/

Cooking using the Sun & Planet X Apr 14, 2017

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

Welcome to The Prepping Academy. This next episode Forrest and Kyle are welcoming Paul Munsen, President of Sun Ovens, to the show. For the past 28 years SUN OVENS has been proudly made in the U.S. They believe in free enterprise and seek to take a private sector approach to helping solve problems, which are often left to governments and nonprofit organizations, by developing self-sustaining projects in Third World nations. They also strive to assist entrepreneurs to make and market GLOBAL SUN OVENS in the country in which they will be used. In addition, they are also helping to assist in implementing projects to help orphanages gain self-sufficiency through the sale of bakery goods sun-baked in VILLAGER SUN OVENS.In a grid down scenario Americans will be faced with a plethora of scenarios. A Sun Oven quite literally may save your life? How so you ask? For starters a Sun Oven emits up to85% less smoke than cooking with a flame. This can save you from respiratory disease, smoke inhalation the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes, carbon monoxide, and potentially disastrous fires. Now, if that’s not enough reason to make you want to buy a Sun Oven, I’ll tell you the grand daddy of them all. When the grid goes down the scent of your cooking will being carried in the smoke and it WILL lead others to you. That smoke signifies a few things: food, people, potential shelter, and potential supplies. That spells one thing for you. DISASTER Looters will find you eventually, but it’d be better if you didn’t provide them a flashing arrow. This week we have a special request from our producer. Kyle will be covering Planet X, Nibiru, or the 12th Planet as some know it. As always, joint Forrest and Kyle in the chat room to ask questions and comment on the show.https://preppingacademy.com/
