Glen Tate & Shelby Gallagher on the Prepping Academy Dec 17, 2018

Join us on the Prepping Academy this week as we have Glen Tate & Shelby Gallagher. Glen and Shelby are on PrepperNet's Expert Panel. Go and subscribe to their new podcast - Prepping 2.0.About Glen Tate: Glen Tate has led an amazing life – and one that took a surprising turn. He grew up poor in the rural logging town of Forks, Washington. He worked hard to become a successful professional with a job in the legal and political arenas. Thinking he’d finally made it and everything was great, he was stunned to see how corrupt government is. From his observations at his job, he realized that America is collapsing and bad things are coming. Very soon. He began to prepare for himself and his family to make it through the civil unrest of the coming collapse. That meant he had to return to his rural roots – quite a shock to his family and friends. Even more amazing was that he wrote down what he foresees happening during the collapse and it became a ten-book novel series published by Prepper Press. Now he is married to fellow prepper author Shelby Gallagher and they live in rural western Washington.About Shelby Gallagher:Shelby Gallagher is a different kind of prepper: a former single mom in a large West Coast city who started squirreling away food and buying a gun when she realized the government would not be there to take care of her and her kids when the Collapse comes. She sent a draft of her first book to prepper author Glen Tate, who read the first few chapters and called his publisher. Her three-book series is now one of the most popular prepper book series. She describes the need for prepping in ways women can relate, but so can men. She is now married to Glen Tate and they live in rural western Washington.Links: PrepperNet.ComPreppingacademy.comhttp://prepping2-0.comhttps://www.299days.com/agreatstate.com

This week on the Prepping Academy we have John Jacob Schmidt from AmRRON and Radio Free Redoubt Founded in 2011, AmRRON was originally created as a communications network to keep communities and states within the American Redoubt connected in the event of a major disaster situation, or socio-economic collapse. Within a year, over half the members consisted of those living outside the American Redoubt. AmRRON has now grown to nearly four thousand radio operators, with members in every state, plus Puerto Rico and Canada. In January, 2014, AmRRON merged with TAPRN, making it the largest conservative mostly-Christian radio network outside of a faith-based organizational structure (such as Salvation Army and LDS).AmRRON is a network of Preppers, Patriots and Redoubters who have volunteered to keep each other connected when other means of communications are unavailable or unreliable. AmRRON operators participate in scheduled nets to practice using non-conventional communications.Although, AmRRON has interoperability with other preparedness and patriot networks, we strongly encourage other communications teams to develop their own, communications plans in the event that AmRRON becomes disrupted or compromised.https://amrron.comhttps://radiofreeredoubt.comPreppingacademy.com

Garvin was interviewd on All Hazards Communications Preparedness! Sep 12, 2018

Garvin was interviewd on the All Hazards Communications Preparedness podcast!Show Notes:Everyone with two eyes to see and two ears to hear knows how little (none?) privacy we have these days. Forrest Garvin, founder of Carolina Preppers Network and the newly formed PrepperNet organization is a computer security expert and former intelligence analyst. He’ll discuss various topics regarding Internet communications security (ComSec) including VOIP as well as various encryption techniques. If you not a true paranoid, you probably can’t do much if our behemoth federal government targets you as an individual. However, for 99 percent of the rest of the population, Forrest Garvin has some practical tips and techniques to share. Most of the practical stuff we’ll be talking about can be put to use every day and made into a daily routine, upping your survival chances and lowering your risk of being ripped of or spied upon by your enemy(s?).You might be thinking, during a SHTF scenario, there won’t be any Internet or even a dependable supply of electricity. That’s when you’ll dig deep into your homemade Faraday cage and pull out your fully charged handheld two-way radio to check into your local prepper group’s prearranged radio network using the SHTF radio 10-codes you were given. But what about real communications security via two-way radio? That’s one of the topics we’ll cover with Forrest Garvin during the Sept. 4 “All Hazards Communications Preparedness” podcast live at 9 pm Eastern every Tuesday on the Prepper Broadcasting Network.http://preppingacademy.com/Host: “David A. Vine”http://prepperbroadcasting.com/all-hazards-communications-preparedness/
