Preparing Kids 4 Life Podcast (private feed for dh@pk4l.com)

Everywhere you turn, the world is saying that you don’t have what it takes to be a parent. That you’re going to mess your kids up. That you’re not “qualified” enough. At PK4L, we beg to differ.

Our mission is to remind parents that they’re already the number one expert on their own children. All they need is the mindset. Let us show you how.

Parenting is truly the toughest job you’ll ever love…but it’s also a journey. And without a map, it’s easy to get lost. So, just think of us as your personal outfitters, guides, and allies for the road ahead. Your journey awaits!

How To Talk To Your Kids In The Language Of Personality [3 of 3] Aug 15, 2018
    Show notes

    EP. 34

The conclusion of our three-part conversation on identity and confidence. While the complexity of human beings will never fit neatly into four categories, there are endless degrees of variation within each of the personality types. It’s really just the starting point for discovering who we are. If this sounds a bit confusing, perhaps it would be easier to think of the personality types as a "language." Therefore, the more "fluent" a parent becomes in their child’s "language", the better they will communicate.

In this episode, we continue the conversation on creativity...which poses some rather interesting questions. Where does creativity come from? Are we born with it, or is it learned? And if it is learned, then how is it learned?

    EP. 30

According to scientific research, attending public school is the best way to destroy the creative genius of children. If that sounds like clickbait, I would encourage you to continue listening to this episode and decide for yourself. Exploring the idea of creativity poses some rather interesting questions. Where does creativity come from? Are we born with it, or is it learned? And if it is learned, then how is it learned?

    EP. 28

We all want to be the best parents we can be. That's a given. So how do we know if what we're doing is really helping our children be their best? What if we're unintentionally doing things that will actually prevent them from thriving in our homes and when they enter the world on their own? We'll be answering these questions and more in this episode.

    What Is Fatherhood? [2 of 2] Jun 27, 2018
    Show notes

    EP. 27

Today's society seems to take particular pleasure in bashing parents, especially fathers. I'm NOT defending men who act dishonorably, but I do want to speak up for those who are doing their best to be good husbands and fathers. We can only do the best we can with what we know...but what if we knew more...what if we knew better? The conversation continues...
