BONUS 6: Does God care if I pray?? (Eph 1:18-20) Oct 12, 2020

Show notes

Do you ever wonder what difference prayer makes? Does God really care whether or not we pray?

From human experience, we learn that when we pray, we pay attention. We see God working. We become more sensitive to His Spirit’s promptings.

And from Scripture, we learn that we can rest in God’s power at work. Does God care if we pray! Yes! Scripture gives a resounding YES! As we wrap up our 6-week Prayers of REST series, we’re joining Paul in his prayer in Ephesians 1:18–20:

...having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know . . . what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places. (ESV, emphasis added).

This episode is based on the Prayers of REST Bible study (available on Amazon here) and is made possible by generous listeners like you. To support this podcast and spread the good news of Jesus around the world, go to patreon.com/prayersofrest to become a monthly Prayer Partner today.
