This week, we sat down with Fulton county commissioner for district 1, Liz Hausmann.
District 1 represents northeast Fulton county and encompasses Johns Creek, and portions of Alpharetta, Roswell, and Sandy Springs east of Georgia 400. We discussed just what is under the purview of the Board of Commissioners, how it connects with municipal government, and what the commission is doing to tackle perhaps our biggest challenge.
In our conversation, you’ll discover that Liz approaches her role with humility and approachability as she strives to help make all of our lives just a little bit better. There are no quick fixes, but we can all do our part to make Roswell a better place to live, work, and play. This is positively Roswell.
Commissioner Hausmann is a proud Georgia native and the daughter of a public school teacher and Episcopal priest. Residing in Johns Creek for 23 years, she has two grown children, two grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. She attends Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church.
Attorney Brian Hansford completed his undergraduate degree at North Georgia College and State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Subsequently, he joined the United States Army and served proudly as a Paratrooper with the XVIII Airborne Corps, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After being honorably discharged, Mr. Hansford obtained his law degree at the John Marshall School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia and went on to serve as an Assistant Solicitor General, gaining invaluable prosecutorial and trial experience.
Judge Hansford has served as the Roswell Municipal Court Judge since 2007.
The Roswell Police Department vows to protect life and property, preserve the peace, and strives to prevent crime, fear, and disorder in the City of Roswell in partnership with all of those who live, work and travel through our city.

He launched the state’s first Technology Advisory Commission, tapping into the leadership of Alpharetta’s 900-plus technology firms, and worked to win the bid to make Alpharetta home to Gwinnett Technical College’s new North Fulton campus.

This week, The Positively Roswell Podcast sat down with Pastor Lee Jenkins and talked about how the movement came to be.
Lee Allen Jenkins is Founder and Senior Pastor of Eagles Nest Church in Roswell, Georgia. As a nationally recognized businessman, best-selling author, speaker and financial expert, the Lord has been preparing Lee for this pastoral assignment his entire life. While at UT, Lee was President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), which, while under his leadership, grew prodigiously; becoming the largest ministry on campus and helping hundreds of students come to know the Lord.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Pat grew up in one of America’s most vibrant craft beer scenes. He moved to Roswell nearly a decade ago and brought with him a passion for high-quality craft beer. That passion led him to begin home brewing, where he developed many of the recipes that form Gate City’s current offerings. Pat is Gate City’s head brewer, primarily responsible for the production, product development, and operations. A former baseball player, Pat also serves as Gate City’s chief utility player, generally helping out across the board. When not working, you’ll find Pat spending time with his family in Roswell or volunteering for one of the numerous charities he supports.

Chaz Easterly is the founder of Linen & Flax Home, an Atlanta-based interior design service and online marketplace created to bring a sense of casual elegance and rustic warmth to your space.
When you stop by either of the Linen & Flax locations on Canton Street or Oak Street, you'll be tempted to think that the stores have been there forever. They both fit so snugly into the Roswell landscape, it's as if they were meant to be. However, each undertaking was, in fact, a great risk.
Chaz Easterly is the savvy businesswoman who was willing to take that risk and bring a much-needed design consultancy and home-decor boutique to Roswell, Ga. However, it wasn't a leap made without first overcoming a chasm of fear and self-doubt.
