Show notes
Rachel Suissa joins Pop Culture Unplugged to talk about her new supernatural dramedy Greek Mothers Never Die, which is premiering at the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAGFF) 2025. Rachel, a Greek-French writer, director, and actor, opens up about the personal story that inspired the film, turning her hit one-woman show into a feature, and what it was like casting her real-life daughter alongside her.
In this heartfelt and funny conversation, Rachel shares behind-the-scenes insights into balancing multiple roles on set, incorporating Greek culture into storytelling, and how grief, comedy, and family come together in her latest project. We also discuss future plans—including a potential sequel—and what she hopes audiences take away from the film.
