Why is it so hard to get people to leave a review for my podcast? I have an audience, I see the downloads, but sometimes I feel like I'm podcasting for myself? I want to see more engagement, more reviews, more interaction from my audience. These are common questions among podskis. Recording Podcast AUDIO and VIDEO at the same time Nov 29, 2020

Publishing audiograms or still images of your podcast episodes on YouTube is not going to help you grow on YouTube. YouTube is a video platform and therefore favors video.

Also, YouTube audiences are different from your podcast audience. We want you to leverage YouTube's robust algorithm to help you grow your audience.

You're already recording audio so let's spice things up by adding video to the mix. In this video, we'll share our strategy on how to record YouTube videos while recording podcast episodes maximizing your recording time and turning you into a repurposing wizard.

1. Set up: Additional equipment you'll need to record video. Don't worry we consider all the budgets. We talk about cameras, lighting, background, and video editing software we recommend.

2. How to record separate intros and outros for your podcast and video. We share with you the PSS formula for engagement and audience retention.

Recording a Podcast with 2 Phones Nov 08, 2020

We're all about conducting experiments for our podskis and we are constantly being asked about Smartphone podcasting.

Two questions that we get asked all the time are:

Can I record a podcast with 2 phones or 2 people?

Can I transfer the files from my phone to my computer?

In this episode, we put ourselves through the test and record an episode using our phones. When we finished with the episode, Studio Steve dragged the files from our phones into Reaper to make some basic edits.

As usual, we were impressed with the results.

We also recorded ourselves and explained in detail how we did it, on our YouTube channel.

Remember. Podcasting is Supposed to be FUN! Aug 04, 2020

Weeks go by, months or years pass, the episodes pile up, and it can be easy to slip into a slump or even to pod fade and stop podcasting altogether.

There are so many times throughout our podcasting journey where our why and our motivation are tested.

We wonder if it’s worth the time and effort. We wonder if our audience will ever grow. We wonder if we’ll ever make money from our podcast.

These feelings are not only normal, but they can actually be helpful and beneficial for our growth.

So let's talk about that hamster wheel, the podcast treadmill.

Let’s talk about what we think the most important element of your podcast should be and that's: FUN.

Okay so, I know you’re thinking, oh come on, it can’t ALWAYS be fun, or really editing for 3 hours a week is fun to you!

But really, if you analyze each step in your podcast creation process and re-engineer the steps that aren’t very enjoyable into FUN steps that you look forward to: Not only will you enjoy your life a lot more, but you’ll also really start to see podcast growth and the results that you’re after.

So on this quick episode, we thought we’d share 3 ideas we have about spicing up your podcast life, and re-evaluating or incorporating new ideas into your workflow.

What they DON'T Tel you About Podcasting Jul 28, 2020

If you're new to podcasting or are thinking about starting your podcast soon, here are some of the things you should have in mind:

Number One: You need more than a USB microphone to start. Before even considering buying a microphone and start recording you have some planning to do. You have a lot of planning to do.

Number Two: You will be podcasting for an audience not just for you and your friends.

Number Three: you Will Have to get creative to make money with your podcast

Number Four: audio quality is important and your smartphone will not give you professional sound

Number Five: You Will Have to become marketing savvy.

Number Six: You will have to invest in yourself and your podcast.

Podcasting is an incredible platform. But like any other platform, it requires work, consistency, and good quality content to grow. We get a lot of questions about podcasting with your phone. We had a video on our YouTube channel with close to 100 k views so it's just normal we'd get a lot of questions. But how efficient is to podcast with your phone. We have a few recommendations for you.

We keep bragging about our course! sorry, not sorry. It's our fist course so we're obsessed with teaching our students our best podcasting tricks!

For how much money would you be willing to sell the rights to your podcast? we'll according to the Wall Street Journal, Joe Rogan did it for an undisclosed sum of over $100 million to the music and podcast streaming giant Spotify. This isn't the first big deal Spotify gets into. The streaming service company keeps getting more involved in podcasting and the last year has invested millions of dollars in acquiring podcast networks and shows making them exclusive for their users.
