Welcome to the Fixing The Franchise kickoff episode on Beyond the Tape, the brand new NFL team-building series from 32BeatWriters! Host TJ Wengert dives deep into the Arizona Cardinals, exploring every step of their simulated offseason to show YOU how he'd rebuild the team from the ground up.
Using the “Stick to the Model” mock draft simulator, TJ Wengert tackles tough decisions—cap management, cuts, trades (including Kyler Murray and Budha Baker possibilities), free agency moves, extensions, and a detailed draft strategy. From restructuring contracts, finding bargain free agents, mapping out a revamped depth chart, and finally, executing a seven-round mock draft to shape the future of the franchise, this episode gives you the perfect blueprint for the Cardinals’ next chapter.
Think you could do better? The challenge is on! Head to Stick to the Model (link below), run your own simulation, and send your screenshot or screen recording to TJ Wengert on Twitter (@TJWengert). Let us know how you’d fix the Cardinals!
