Episode 688 Goodbye Mom 9/29/25 Sep 29, 2025

Show notes

This week in Port Charles, Jason led the way in honoring Monica with a moving memorial, guiding the Quartermaines and their loved ones through a powerful farewell. Several people shared their memories, with Lucy offering her reflection of their shared history. Lulu reminded Jason that he was always part of Monica’s home. Ned was ready to tell Brook Lynn about his past affair with Monica, but she revealed she already knew, sparing him the awkward conversation. Tracy fled to Atlantic City overwhelmed, and Lois stepped in to bring her home. When Drew showed up, Tracy immediately wheeled him out of the chapel, refusing to let him stay. Brook Lynn bonded with Dante over Gio’s presence..

Away from the memorial, Britt received a chilling package hinting that Cesar may still be alive. Questions arose about Nathan’s return from the dead. Rocco began forming a connection with Britt, Molly admitted her feelings for Cody to Alexis, and Portia and Isaiah agreed to pursue their relationship in secret. Meanwhile, Trina confronted Jordan about Curtis, and Curtis confessed to Marshall what he had been doing the night Drew was shot.

The week closed with Monica’s photo placed beside Alan’s at the hospital —while a mysterious woman’s presence in the Quartermaine Crypt left Port Charles with new questions still to be answered.

Episode 687: Revisiting Monica's Lovers Sep 25, 2025

Show notes

With General Hospital finally addressing the heartbreaking passing of Monica Quartermaine, we’re revisiting one of our favorite episodes. Join Amanda and Shannon as they dive into Monica’s complicated love life and the men who shaped her story in Port Charles.

First arriving in 1977 as Jeff Webber’s wife, Monica quickly found herself caught in one of GH’s most unforgettable romantic entanglements. Her assumed-dead fiancé, Rick Webber — Jeff’s own brother — returned, sparking years of on-and-off affairs. In 1978, she married Alan Quartermaine, and while their marriage is one of GH’s most iconic, it was far from perfect. Monica and Alan’s battles with infidelity led to affairs with Sean Donely, Ned Ashton, and Pierce Dorman, each leaving their own mark on her legacy.

Episode 685: Lucky Spencer 49 Sep 18, 2025

Show notes

July 28 - September 30, 2011

After being forcibly injected with drugs by Anthony Zacchara, Lucky spiraled into hallucinations and cravings that left him vulnerable and unstable. Liz stepped in to support him, but Siobhan grew suspicious of her involvement, fueling tension in their marriage. Their fights escalated until a car crash left Siobhan hospitalized, where Anthony later ensured she would never recover. Her death shattered Lucky, leaving him crushed by guilt and convinced his failures had driven her to her fate. Torn between Liz’s loyalty and his grief, he carried the weight of a love he couldn’t save while trying to hold himself together.

In the aftermath, Lucky struggled to parent Aiden while fighting the lure of hydrocodone, at times flushing the pills but never free of the cravings. Siobhan’s sister Megan blamed him outright, deepening his sense of failure, while cryptic messages Siobhan left behind only kept her memory alive. Investigating the drug ring tied to her death pulled him further into danger—he uncovered evidence, saved Liz from an attack, and worked with Dante despite his fragile state. But his relapse fractured his bond with Dante and Lulu, who exploded at him after Dante was shot, telling him it should have been him instead. Left isolated, Lucky confronted how far he had fallen, only to find an envelope hidden in his loft—a sign that his fight, and his story, was still unfinished.
