    In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Chris Trevino are back in studio LIVE talking about the highly anticipated start to the Lincoln Riley era, a home opener against the Rice Owls from the Conference USA. Since Riley was hired last November he made significant changes to this USC football program from the roster, the coaching staff and more importantly the culture. The Trojans offseason was a tremendous success, but none of that matters if they are unable to translate that success to the field on Saturdays.

    The guys talk about what they have seen during practice these last few weeks, what they think the depth chart could look like, how some of the top position battles are going, more players coming off the injury list now that game week is here and lots more!

    Tunnel Vision: Trojans pick up new four-star commit plus BLVD officially launches Aug 29, 2022

    Tunnel Vision returns with USCFootball.com publisher Ryan Abraham, reporters Chris Trevino and Shotgun Spratling and new intern Jack Smith talking about the latest commitment for the Trojans class of 2023, Red Mountain (Ariz.) four-star wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound Lane is rated the No. 374 overall prospect and the No. 49 wide receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite and picked USC over Oregon.

    The guys will also talk about USC's official NIL partner BLVD officially opening for business this weekend, revealing four multimedia shows featuring student athletes and structured membership tiers that Trojan fans can sign up for.

    Plus the start to the highly anticipated 2022 USC football season is less than a week away so the crew gives their thoughts on how the team has been looking and give their outlook for the season ahead.

    The guys also welcomed in surprise guest Michael Jones, CEO and founder of Stay Doubted, to talk about BLVD's official launch and how it will help USC athletics.

    Heard It on the Sidelines: New USC baseball head coach Andy Stankiewicz Aug 27, 2022

    Shotgun Spratling talks with new USC baseball head coach Andy Stankiewicz and college baseball national analyst Mike Rooney about the Trojans' hire of Stankiewicz and his staff of Travis Jewett, Seth Etherton, Andy Jenkins and Sergio Brown.

    Stankiewicz discusses what it means to be named the leader of college baseball most historic program as a Southern California native that grew up watching Rod Dedeaux's teams and playing for Mike Gillespie in the Alaskan Summer League. Stankiewicz talks about what it will take to turn around the USC program despite some of the challenges the job features.

    Later, Rooney breaks down why he thinks Stankiewicz was a home run hire for the Trojans. But he also warns that it is going to be a multi-year rebuild to get USC on the path to success.

The guys were out on Howard Jones Field Tuesday morning checking out the full pads practice that featured work against the scout team, mimicking what they expect to see from the Rice Owls on September 3.

    Tunnel Vision: Trojans close Fall Camp and push forward to the season opener against Rice Aug 22, 2022

    Tunnel Vision returns with USCFootball.com publisher Ryan Abraham, reporters Chris Trevino and Shotgun Spratling and new intern Jack Smith talking about the Trojans finishing up Fall Camp with a full pads practice on Howard Jones Field. USC classes start on Monday so the team will switch to game preparation and that September 3 opener against Rice, but there are still position battles going on and the competition continues out on the practice field.

    The guys will talk about how that competition has looked at spots like left tackle, head coach Lincoln Riley and his desire to utilize rotations at wide receiver, defensive line and in the secondary, how the team chemistry has progressed and lots more.

Grant three-star inside offensive lineman Alani Noa. The guys breakdown what Noa's commitment means for the Trojans class of 2023 (currently ranked No. 13 nationally) and how they were able to win another head-to-head recruiting battle with the Oregon Ducks.

    The guys also talk about all of the latest news and notes from USC fall camp including what head coach Lincoln Riley and the rest of the players and coaches had to say about the Sunday night scrimmage in the Coliseum. The team was in full contact, tackling to the ground and we have some insight into how the team looked as the get ready for the opener against Rice.

    They also have updates on the injury front including the return of linebacker Shane Lee, but also notable players remaining out like defensive lineman Solomon Tuliaupupu and rush end Korey Foreman plus a few new faces to rehab island including cornerback Domani Jackson and tight end Josh Falo.
