*This is NOT the Susan Smith who killed her kids* EW
Susan Daniels Smith had a very rough upbringing and was living on her own by the age of 15. As an adult she was living in Freeburn, KY with her ex-husband, Kenneth, when a string of bank robberies hit the area. FBI and local law enforcement suspected a friend staying at their house, but it would be Susans case that became far more layered than anyone expected. A case that would eventually make history.
