Who’s Who of the Best Creeps Sep 04, 2019

In this episode, Mary Payne has a lively chat with Margo and Sonia, hosts of the podcasts, What a Creep and Dorking Out.

What a Creep is a podcast that highlights a different creep in every episode – both male and female. Each episode, Margo and Sonia discuss the “who’s who” of the worst, sharing stories of those of the past and of the present. It is not entirely all about creeps though; at the end of each episode, Margo and Sonia, look at the other side and highlight an individual who is not a creep.

What a Creep Breakdown

Some of the creeps that the ladies have covered include Lance Armstrong, Elizabeth Holmes, Mel Gibson, Ted Bundy, and so many more. Margo and Sonia share with Mary Payne what they take into consideration when determining if someone is a creep or not.

During this episode, they give a few brief examples of why Lance Armstrong, Jeffery Epstein, Mel Gibson, Ted Bundy, and Besty DeVos are creeps and what two common characteristics they all share.

The “Mansion Murders” on 22 Hours Aug 21, 2019

Mary Payne along with 22 Hours podcast hosts, Megan and Jack, discuss a horrific crime that took place when the Savopolous family was murdered.

In 2015, DC power couple, Savvas and Amy Savopolous were murdered in their home along with their son and housekeeper. In 2018, a previous employee of Savvas’ company, Daron Wint, was found convicted of the murders.

Megan Cloherty and Jack Moore, two reporters for 103.5 WTOP-FM, followed the murder case from start to finish through the digital reporting space. With all the knowledge they had of the trial, they compiled all of the information they had into the podcast 22 Hours: An American Nightmare.

Mary Payne questions Megan about sitting through the trial. What parts of the trial were hard for her to hear as long as was any of it downright boring given the pure nature of how trials can be? One main thing about the trial sticks out to all three, however, and that is the fact that many questions will be left unanswered until Daron breaks his silence and speaks about what happened.

Mary Payne and her two guests go on the discuss the essentially 24-hour news cycle world that we now live in. They converse about how this new cycle plays a part in the podcast world.

Theorizing Missing Richard Simmons with Doug Budin Aug 07, 2019

Mary Payne is throwing everyone for a loop in this episode. Instead of talking to the host of a podcast, Mary Payne recommended a podcast to actor, writer, and Jeff Lewis Live co-host, Doug Budin. Mary Payne and Doug discuss the Missing Richard Simmons podcast hosted by filmmaker and investigative journalist Dan Taberski.

Richard Simmons Goes Missing

One day fitness guru Richard Simmons completely disappeared from the public eye and has not been seen, and hardly heard from since. Podcast host Dan was a friend of Richard’s and since that day has not heard a single word from him. The Missing Richard Simmons podcast investigates theories behind the disappearance and interviews people close to, and involved in, Richard Simmons’s life.

Theories on the Disappearance

Mary Payne and Doug contemplate some of the theories that Dan shares about what may have happened to Richard from the far-fetched to the realistic. Mary Payne and Doug theorize as to why it may have been so shocking for those close to him to be left in the cold and without an explanation of his whereabouts and doings.

They appreciate the picture that Dan paints in the podcast through his various interviews with Richard’s manager, brother, a detective that did a wellness check, and many more.

Everyone likes a little Hollywood gossip and that is just what the podcast Grants Rants Hollywood Talk focuses on, the latest stories in Hollywood. Mary Payne sits down with Grant Rutter in this episode.

When Grant got started with his ranting in 2015, Youtube was saturated with others doing the same so he decided to start on the podcast platform. Since then, Grants Rants Hollywood Talk has become a widely popular podcast show. Each week he has a different guest on who acts more like a co-host. With the guest, Grant will discuss that week’s ongoing stories in Hollywood.
