UFOs & the Heavenly Host (PART 2) Aug 25, 2023

Show notes

Timothy Mahoney and Dr. Fred Baltz continue their discussion on how to view UAPs, formerly known as UFOs, from a Biblical perspective.

Certain voices in the culture have attempted to insert the notion of extraterrestrial encounters into the Bible. Passages like the Prophet Ezekiel's vision of the wheel within the wheel and even the Ark of the Covenant have been claimed to be alien technology. Is this true or have modern concepts been inaccurately applied to the Biblical text? How were these passages understood by the ancient audience they were written to?

Tim and Dr. Baltz also elaborate further on the spiritual and possibly angelic connection to these strange lights and objects seen by many in the sky.

David Rohl & the Sinai Mines Aug 25, 2023

Show notes

This week on the Patterns of Evidence podcast, we listen to one last audio excerpt from The Moses Controversy Collector's Edition. Tim Mahoney interviews Egyptologist, David Rohl, on his ideas surrounding the Proto-Sinaitic script.

David shares about his expedition to Serabit el-Khadim where the script was first discovered, his connection with Mori Michael Shelomo Bar-Ron who helped offer translations of the script using Hebrew as its language, and the specific Israelite he believes may be responsible for the invention of this revolutionary form of writing.

Did Joseph invent the world's oldest alphabet? Are David and Mori Michael's translations of these inscriptions accurate? And could Moses, himself, be responsible for some of the writings in the mines at Serabit el-Khadim?

What should our mindset be when we encounter claims that are contrary to our faith? What is the purpose of Covenant in the Bible? And was the alphabet given by Divine inspiration? Tim and Peter discuss each of these topics.

UFOs & the Heavenly Host (PART 1) Aug 25, 2023

Show notes

For our next Patterns of Evidence Podcast series, Timothy Mahoney and Dr. Fred Baltz will be giving a biblical perspective on UAPs, formerly known as UFOs.

With recent news stories about the US House of Representatives' Oversight Committee discussing UAPs and declassifying videos, many are wondering what to think of these strange phenomena.

Are they the spacecraft of visitors from other planets or could there be something spiritual at work? Dr. Baltz begins to share important insights from science and a Christian worldview on what these seemingly otherworldly anomalies may be.

Dr. Baltz has also written a Thinker article for us on this topic that you can read here:
