46-A Defense FOR Biblical Inerrancy Aug 14, 2016
    Show notes

It’s been doubted, attacked, and even devalued a good bit on our show so we bring Chris Date from Rethinking Hell Podcast to defend biblical inerrancy and explain why it’s so dag gum important. Joey gets ganged up on and we have a lot of fun. Check out Chris’ podcast at:http://rethinkinghell.com/

45-Toby Morrell on Godless and Christians Say the Darndest Things Aug 06, 2016
    Show notes

Jared and Joey catch up with Toby and get his thoughts on the Godless Hangup from last week and Joey starts a new segment to tackle three common phrases that Christians like to use. He’s a bit annoyed by these darn things, but hides it well. Do you say these things? Maybe you should rethink them. Maybe not. The music used for Joey’s new segment is from Oddisee’s “Odd Seasons” album and is called “Tell the Truth” (Mellow Music Group, 2011).

44 - Godless Accuses Pastor Chip of Being “godless” Jul 31, 2016
    Show notes

And we don’t get our chip/godless conversation after all. The plan was to have a discussion about God between our “in house” Pastor and counselor Chip Judd and one of our favorite atheists, Godless. Things go awry and the conversation ends before it begins. Chip, Jared and Joey end up discussing what in the hell happened to set Godless off like that before ending the episode with some tame topics including masturbation and how the church is doing with loving gays. Follow Godless on twitter @GodlessSpeaks and check out his “Metal Sucks” podcast here: http://www.metalsucks.net/category/podcast/

    43 - Q/A With Chip Judd Jul 24, 2016
    Show notes

Having a depressed spouse, smoking weed for maximized worship, killing yourself as a shortcut to heaven, our listeners asked questions and Chip had answers. Chip Judd, a Pastor at Seacoast Church has a Masters Degree in counseling, 12,000 hours of experience, and apparently a call from God himself to counsel others like it’s going out of style. He also travels to different churches, helping to improve inter-staff relationships and acts as a consultant on church health and culture. http://www.seacoast.org/https://twitter.com/chipjudd

41 - Is it Weird That God Stops Redeeming People Jul 11, 2016
    Show notes

Our guests both find it puzzling that throughout all eternity God has a place reserved for people that He will never move towards redemption. Isn’t God always good? Does He lose something if a sect of his creation isn’t redeemed once and for all? If God is a tyrant, let’s all hope for the best. Is there more than meets the eye? Shouldn’t all Christians at least hope that all are saved? No thought is out of bound in this one.

    40 - Trump Presidency anyone? Jul 04, 2016
    Show notes

We talk to non-trump supporter Jack Hoey (the father) and Trump-Supporter, Kerry Haplin (KJV Guy) about how Trump pulled off the miracle of being a frontrunner in the presidential race, we discussed his chances at winning, and what major changes are in store for America with a Trump presidency. Is he trustworthy? Could he bring a deconstruction to the ineffective politics we all have trouble believing in? Is this potential worth the risk of having a loose canon in the Oval office? Our guests have some strong opinions on all these matters.

Chris Russo, pastor at Seacoast Church lost his mom to cancer early in life and has managed to avoid truly dealing with it until over twenty years later. How does this happen? Is anyone to blame? How is a child affected by losing a parent early in life? Why not ask an adult who experienced it. Only he isn’t sure himself. Mike Lewis (Giving is Believing Podcast) joins the conversation to discus mission work, Christians’ responsibility to sacrifice, and the current state of the church. Do Christians have a responsibility to go to other countries? How much money should Christians part with? Are churches dropping the ball? Should we feel guilty about how good we have it in America?
