—
There is never going to be a moment in your pursuit of God where there's a sign that says, "authorized personnel only beyond this point. You can go as high up on the mountain as you want to go." Our God is The God You Can Know.

PASSION + PURPOSE [A Postscript] Feb 12, 2019

Show notes

This last series was so powerful as we discovered how to make our life count in every moment that we decided to hear from some leaders in our House who are doing just that.
—
Join Brad Jones as he sits down with Basketball legend Maya Moore, CEO and Founder of Reagan Consulting, Bobby Reagan, Chief Meteorologist David Chandley, Urban Community Developer Donnell Woodson, and Photography Icon Mary Caroline Russell to discuss what it looks like for each of them to carry the name of Jesus well through their individual giftings.

Our Aim Jan 29, 2019

Show notes

Our aim is for people to hear about Jesus.
—
This week, Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us of our ultimate goal and shows us how no matter the size of our platform the mission is the same. Take Maya Moore for example. One of the greatest women's basketball player of all time has leveraged her public platform to tell the world about Jesus, and spends her Sundays planted in the body of Christ and leading out in the choir.
—
So, yes we should strive for excellence in our work, to be distinctive in our passion and dedication, to pay the cost to be consistent; but if all of that doesn't ultimately build a platform on which we tell the world around us about Jesus, then we will never live out our calling to it's end goal.

Take the Stairs Jan 23, 2019

Show notes

In our third week of PASSION + PURPOSE, Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us that Costly Consistency has to be the grid that we have to look at each step of our journey towards being the best in our passion and profession through. There are unavoidable steps that each of us has to take in order to be the best at what we do and use that platform to reflect Jesus to the world.

Do It All Jan 16, 2019

Whatever Jan 09, 2019

Show notes

The beginning of a new year brings about questions like…

Am I on the right track? Does my life matter? Am I doing what I’m supposed to be doing? Am I in God’s will?

God’s will isn’t that you figure out the right thing to do, God’s will is that you figure out the right person to know. To know Jesus and to make Him known. That is God’s will for our lives.

In Part 1 of our new series, Passion + Purpose* (*and designer jeans), Pastor Louie helps us reframe the conversation around what our purpose in life really is.

YES, LORD. Jan 01, 2019

Show notes

On December 30th we gathered together as a church to look into the new year. Pastor Ben Stuart challenged us to see the next generation through the lens of faith, Katherine Wolf shared her story, reminding us all that we get to use the pain of our past for God’s glory, and Pastor Louie Giglio anchored our hearts around Isaiah 26:8, calling us to lift our gaze higher to a purpose greater than ourselves – the name and fame of Jesus.

Christmas Eve - Welcome Home Dec 24, 2018

Show notes

What if one of the most well-known stories in scripture was also one of the most misunderstood?
—
Most of us can recite the story of the prodigal son from memory. After all it's a parable about how far you and I have turned from God, how we've ran far away and need his forgiveness... isn't it? Or is it possible, that when Jesus was telling this story He meant for us to focus on the Father? His arms stretched wide open as his runaway son returned. His eagerness to welcome him home with a kiss and a celebration. Maybe the story of the Prodigal Son is actually more about the Father who loved him through it all.
—
This Christmas Eve, Pastor Louie Giglio wants you to know that this isn't just someone else's story; that lost uncle, brother, or daughter. This story is all of ours, and the best part is we have a home and we are most welcome to it.

Making Peace Dec 18, 2018

Show notes

"Jesus intends not just to bring peace to you, but through you.”
—
Closing out The Missing Peace series, Pastor Ben Stuart guides us through what it looks like to be peacemakers in a broken world. We are meant to leverage the freedom we have in Jesus to bring peace to others.
—
How do you be a peacemaker? By praying and by greeting. Love looks like prayer. Greeting someone initiates kindness, and communicates respect. Peacemakers extend love beyond expected boundaries.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace Dec 11, 2018

Show notes

If many of us know about Jesus and the peace He brings, why is it that we walk around with such a lack of it? This week, Global Pastor Louie Giglio reminds us that connecting with the peace of Jesus will require a recalibration of how we think about Him, and who He really is.
