“You can expect God to move you out of the past and into a future.” - Pastor Louie Giglio

—

As we continue our Great Expectation series, Pastor Louie reminds us that we often take the word “prosper” to mean riches, and the words “not to harm” to mean no pain. Instead, we should be looking at God being with us in the story. He’s working and moving every situation, pain, trial, mountain, valley, peak + joy for our good and His glory.

At Passion City Church we believe that because God has displayed the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus, our response to that in worship must be extravagant. It is our privilege, and our created purpose, to reflect God’s Glory back to Him through our praise, our sacrifice, and our song.

I'm not okay... but Jesus is. Oct 14, 2019

Show notes

As the church, it can feel like we have to have it all together all of the time, to avoid talking about where we are, where we’ve been, or what we’ve walked through. Our prayer is that this message is just the starting place for us to let go of those expectations, to be a church where we open up and ask Jesus to use our stories in order to shine His light into the darkness.

—

“I will not die, but I will live, and declare what the Lord has done.”

Psalm 118:17

Because We Can Oct 08, 2019

Show notes

“If we could see what happens when we pray, we would never cease to pray.” Everybody is a candidate to put their faith and trust in Jesus, and God wants you, a carrier of His light, to be in the story when they do. The Be Bright series may be over, but really it’s just getting started. As each of us goes out into our week, as we shine the light and love of God in our workplaces and classrooms, to our neighbors and to strangers, Jesus will be on the move, and when Jesus is on the move anything is possible.
