90s House Classics: The Ultimate 1994 - 1995 Vol. 3 Feb 10, 2021

Show notes

90s House Music Classics — The Ultimate 90's House Classics 1994 - 1995 Vol. 3 gathers definitive remixes and club anthems from the mid‑90s into a single continuous set. This volume highlights the era’s blend of soulful house, hardhouse energy, and big‑room remix culture, aiming to recreate the dancefloor momentum and nostalgia of 1994–1995. Standout moments include M People’s uplifting “Moving On Up,” Wink’s acid-tinged “Higher State of Consciousness,” and the Rollo & Sister Bliss Monster Mix of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love ’95.” The collection balances cheeky pop‑house like 20 Fingers’ “Short Dick Man” with classic club gems — Crystal Waters’ “100% Pure Love” and River Ocean feat. India’s “Love & Happiness” (Morales Club Mix) are reliable peak‑time selectors. DJs and listeners who want a concise snapshot of the period will also hear notable remix craft throughout the set, making this volume a useful reference for mid‑90s house programming and personal nostalgia. 90s Classic House: Ultimate House Classics 1994-1995 Vol. 2 Feb 07, 2021

Show notes

90s Classic House — The Ultimate 90's House Classics (1994–1995), Vol. 2 collects extended club mixes and crossover hits that kept clubs and radio floors connected in the mid‑90s. This installment focuses on soulful vocal house and big-room remixes, revisiting the era’s production choices and how they shaped dance floors then and now. Highlights include the Brand New Heavies’ N'Dea Davenport era, Juliet Roberts’ monster club mixes, and CeCe Peniston’s Bad Yard Club punch, with crossover staples from The Bucketheads and Mighty Dub Katz reminding listeners how house reached mainstream radio. The set also flags a few missteps — notably David Morales’ lengthy take on Mariah Carey’s “Anytime You Need a Friend” — where extended edits sometimes dilute a song’s original impact. As the mix traces a subtle shift toward harder house and early trance textures, it still roots itself in classic groove and vocals. Volume three of the Ultimate 90s House Classics drops next week for those following the series.
