Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 17 - One on One / Part 3 Jan 09, 2023

The FINAL one on one for the season and last episode of season 17. We made it. It was a doozy, but Kody and Robyn finally got a couple tougher questions and some push-back. We determine that Robyn is, in fact, the favorite wife. He favors her obviously because of her loyalty to Kody and ability to kiss the ring in all situations. Christine knew from the beginning that Robyn and Kody were soulmates though.

Janelle isn't about to sit around and be a second Robyn, so they're officially separated. Unfortunately, not divorced though, thanks to her faith forcing her to stick it out. She is HAPPY though without him being around and would rather him not walk through her door. There was no showing Kody the clip of Gabe crying, which is almost as disappointing as him not being confronted about Ysabel's surgery last season. Oh, and Meri was in there for about 1 minute total, still sticking it out for now. In the end, Kody wishes the best for Christine and for her to find her soulmate, and for him to be happy with Janelle and reconcile with his kids.

Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 16 - One on One / Part 2 Jan 02, 2023

Part 2 of the "One on One" includes loft of babying Kody and Robyn. We find out that Christine is into orcs and Shemar Moore. Also, she used to talk lots of crap about the other wives (according to Kody and Robyn). Robyn takes Kody's word as gospel, and he can't even admit she's the one he trusts most. Meri is just sort of there and still accepts the fact that Kody doesn't consider himself married to her anymore. Maybe she just needs to make him another special batch of Rice Krispies. Robyn feels cheated and slighted yet again, because all of this is about her and what she wants...right? Lots to unpack and a lot to hopefully look forward to next weekend!

BONUS Sister Wives Season 1, Episode 1 - Meet Kody and the Wives Dec 30, 2022

With no new episode this past week, we decided to throw it back to the beginning! I get to share with Alex the episode that started it all for me. The OG episode where you meet Kody and the other wives and get a small taste of what Robyn brings. Let us know if you want us to keep recapping these oldies or leave it at just this one. Here we see a pretty functional family. They all talk about how great plural marriage is and allllllllll the perks. Kody has a big announcement too. We learn that Janelle loves going to work outside of the house and also has hobbies, thanks to her girl Christine raising the kids at home. And also, Logan, who made a bomb breakfast for his siblings. Christine is the domesticated basement wife. She always wanted to be a third wife in a plural family (and probably the last one too but doesn't say that out loud). Meri is actually there, speaking, and an active part of the family. She is also the tooth-puller. Did you know that toasters kill more people than sharks every year? Also, the big announcement is Robyn, the soon-to-be destroyer of the family. I suggest a rewatch of this episode if it's been a while. There are some fun contradictions to what is being said in present day. And some foreshadowing. Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 15 - One on One / Part 1 Dec 22, 2022

In this "one on one" we get so much and so little. Kody looks like he is on some sort of upper and is looking more lunatic than normal. Robyn tries really hard to cry and clears her throat a bunch in an attempt to buy time. Kody claims rice krispies are the way to his heart, but Meri's account conflicts with his. Christine is rocking her pleather pants and is on the prowl, ready to break the bond between her and Kody (according to Robyn). Meri is all for the patriarchy, as long as she can still be an independent woman. Also, Kody makes inappropriate comments and goes inside Sukanya's personal bubble.

Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 14 - Which Wife is Next? Dec 18, 2022

Kody is alive, which he makes sure to let everyone know any time they ask how he's doing. HE SURVIVED! Janelle wants to show off her casita plans to get the fam excited about building. It doesn't work. Kody hates Janelle's new apartment almost as much as he hated the RV, poor Savannah will still have an absent father. Christine NEVER wants to visit Flagstaff, ew. The leftover adults discuss the upcoming holidays by yelling and fighting. Something about a donkey and chess queens. Janelle chooses her kids over Kody and the leftover wives...which is a nice segway to the "One on One" clips aired at the end of the episode. #byekody

Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 13 - Coronapocalypse Dec 15, 2022

Janelle uses a dinner outing at Fat Olives to discuss the broken relationship with Kody (#singlelady #dogsinthebed). Kody makes himself a bigger villain by bringing Gabe to tears when he forgets his birthday. Everyone but Roarroaruh gets Covid-19 in the House on the Heel. Kody has an elevated temp of 99.8 while Robyn sucks precious hospital resources. Roarroaruh is lonely and everyone cries from being apart for 10 days. Meanwhile no tears were shed when Truely came over for a hot minute after a month away. They have a depressing Halloween at home going between the 4 outside doors.

Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 12 - Life After Polygamy Dec 12, 2022

Christine is finally moving to Utah (freeeeeedom)! Janelle and Kody argue about money and the land; Savannah awkwardly watches. Life in the RV is getting rough. Truely burns marshmallows and star gazes while at Janelle's RV overnight. Kody tears apart Janelle's casita dreams then "helps" Christine get a snowblower into the moving truck. All while wearing his work gloves and visor.

Sister Wives Season 17, Episode 11 - The Worst Goodbye Dec 09, 2022

The title says it all, it was the WORST goodbye. Mykelti and Tony help mama Christine saran wrap things to move. Janelle and Kody have words leveling the '5th whill.' Mykelti makes Christine have everyone over for a proper goodbye, bless her heart. Kody scares the crap out of the people at the party inside, poor Ari just wants to go in. No parties cross their line to say goodbye.
