    But That's Not Fair! May 15, 2022
    Show notes

Okay parents. How many times have you heard one of your littles say "That's not fair!" usually followed by some sort of tantrum* or blow up. The first reaction is typically to be annoyed. Or even the dreaded "I'll show you what's not fair." but let's pause for a second. Children often don't understand the big picture of fairness, and we as parents don't understand what they are trying to tell us when they're screaming about things don't being fair. Listen in as Charisse shares just how this shows up in her family, and what steps we as parents can take to make sure our child's needs are met. Plus what other signs to watch out for when the topic of fairness comes back up.

Tantrums. Yup, we've all experienced them with our children. However what a lot of parents don't necessarily understand is the root of what a tantrum is. Today, Charisse breaks down how children acting out means so much more than them just "being difficult" and what we can do as parents to help bring them out of it.

Parenting in the Shadows Apr 10, 2022

One of Charisse's Littles is dealing with a medical condition that has both her and her Little up all through the night. As she reflects on what that has looked like for her, she acknowledges that all parents have to deal with the unglamorous situations that come with being a parent. However, just as unnoticed as you might feel dealing with everything, so can your children as they navigate growing up. Shadow work is a shared experience.
