Week 5 Grades, Mike Leach Meltdown, Khalil Tate Conspiracy, UCLA Sabotage, Power Rankings Sep 30, 2019
    Show notes

After a crazy week in Pac-12 football, the Apostles had so much to discuss. They recap every game from week 5 and talk about the quarterbacks dropping like flies and who still has a chance to make the playoffs. Who will win the Pac-12 North and South? They also drop the Power Rankings for week 6 as well. We also learn that Ralph may have unintentionally sabotaged the UCLA kicker on his game-tying kick.

Washington State head coach Mike Leach melted down and called his team out after getting destroyed by Utah. Is it ok for a coach to say this to his players if true?

George has a conspiracy theory about Khalil Tate and his future at Arizona. Ralph does not disagree but may be mad that he is out of the loop on what is happening with his football man crush.

Houston quarterback D'Eriq King is redshirting the rest of the season and transferring to another school to play. The Apostles discuss whether this is good for college football and would we support his decision if it happened to our favorite team.

They discuss top CA high school quarterback Bryce Young's decommitment from USC to commit to Alabama.

Week 4 Recap and Power Rankings, Pac-12 Referees, Larry Scott on Playoff Expansion Sep 23, 2019
    Show notes

On this episode, the Pac-12 Apostles recap and rate the performance of the conference and each team in week 4. They also discuss the playoff potential for Oregon, Washington, Cal, Utah, and USC.

George and Ralph react to commissioner Larry Scott’s comments about College Football Playoff expansion. He essentially said the Pac-12 needs to get better instead of getting a guaranteed spot in the playoff. And they look at the Friday night game between Utah and USC in hindsight to judge whether it was good for the Pac-12.

Ralph tells a hilarious story about his adventure trying to watch the Pac-12 Networks on Sling at the ASU game.

The Apostles release their Pac-12 Power Rankings for week 5. And naturally, there was a major disagreement.

Week 4 Preview, Mascot Power rankings, AP Poll Nonsense, Friday games Sep 19, 2019
    Show notes

The Pac-12 Apostles break down the matchups from the Pac-12 in week 4. They try to figure out who thought scheduling Utah vs USC on a Friday night was a good idea.

After Mike Leach interview where he discussed Pac-12 mascot fights, George and Ralph thought it appropriate to rank the Pac-12 mascots. This topic caused more in-fighting between the Apostles than Khalil Tate's QB abilities. Send us your mascot power rankings to immad@unafraidshow.com

Ralph tries to explain to George how he and the AP Poll have Cal ranked behind Washington despite beating them in week 2.

Reaction/Judgements Week 3, Pac-12 Power Rankings Week 4, Fan Rant, 6 teams in AP Poll Sep 16, 2019
    Show notes

On this episode, the Apostles recap and react to week 3 of college football in the Pac-12. All twelve teams were in action and the results were somewhat unexpected. The USC and Stanford games were especially shocking. In their weekly game picks, George finished the week with a 8-4 record because of a boneheaded tweet, while Ralph was 9-3.

Thanks to one of you apostles we have our first fan rant!

Week 3 Predictions and Preview, Player IV Fluids for Hydration, UCLA Free Tickets Sep 12, 2019
    Show notes

George Wrighster and Ralph Amsden break down and dissect all the games from Week 3 of the Pac-12 football season. All twelve Pac-12 teams are in action this weekend. The Apostles believe this could be the most important weekend of the Pac-12 season because all the games are non-conference matchups. The results of these games against Michigan State, Houston, Texas Tech, BYU, and Oklahoma will ultimately be used to judge the strength of the Pac-12 come bowl time.

Player hydration has been a major topic this season. Coaches are talking about giving their players IV fluids before the games. Ralph has concerns about it but George sheds some light on how common they really are.

UCLA has a significant attendance problem. Only about 35,000 people showed up to the 100,00+ seat Rose Bowl to see the Bruins play San Diego State. They have even resorted to giving away 4 tickets to this week's game against #5 Oklahoma. This is similar to a couple of seasons ago when Michigan gave away free tickets to fans who brought a Coke can.

Reaction and Biggest Surprises for Week 2, Power Rankings Week 3, Hawaii vs Pac-12 Sep 09, 2019
    Show notes

On this episode of the Pac-12 Apostles, George Wrighster and Ralph Amsden react and dissect the Week 2 performances of each team in the Pac-12 conference. Week 2 featured a few key conference games that led to some a surprise breakout performance and an unexpected win. George was right about the Cal victory and Oregon State loss while Ralph has been right about UCLA possibly going 1-11 this season.

The apostles also try to figure out why the Pac-12 is having such difficulty beating the Mountain West Conference. They agree that Hawaii must be included in the Pac-12 power rankings if they beat Washington this week. Read about how those losses to Mountain West teams ultimately lead back to commissioner Larry Scott.

George and Ralph reveal their Pac-12 Power Rankings for Week 3. The top of the conference looks extremely strong with Oregon, Cal, Utah, USC, and Washington leading the way.

Week 2 Preview/Predictions, Mike Leach twitter, LeGarrette Blount punch 10yr Anniversary Sep 05, 2019
    Show notes

George and Ralph make their week 2 predictions and preview all the Pac-12 matchups for college football week 2. They also discuss injuries to KJ Costello and JT Daniels. What will be the impact on their teams and conference as a whole?

Can Oregon State have a better showing against Hawaii than Arizona did? Should Arizona feel threatened by this week's FCS opponent and their fifth year quarterback? Is Northern Illinois' style of play enough to give Utah a contest? Can Washington's Jacob Eason handle Cal's secondary? Will USC's Kedon Slovis be able to handle Stanford's defense in his first college start? We discuss all that and more in week 2 preview episode of The Pac-12 Apostles Podcast.

Mike Leach clearly has too much time on his hands. His twitter feed looks nothing like any other college football head coach.

The Apostles recollect the punch that defined a career on the 10th anniversary of Oregon's postgame brawl with Boise State. LeGarrette Blount knocked Byron Hout out after Boise State beat Oregon. It was a game changer for everybody involved. Did Hout deserve it? Send your thoughts and comments to immad@unafraidshow.com.
