OVIES & GIGLIO

Show notes

The bracket is out. Ovies & Giglio are back at OG Media HQ. And the Triangle's NCAA Tournament picture couldn't be more complicated or more compelling.

Start with Duke — because Giglio needs a moment. The Blue Devils come into March Madness as back-to-back ACC Tournament Champions with the most proven defensive identity in college basketball. The selection committee looked at all of that and handed them the toughest bracket. Ovies pushes back on the UNC pessimism that has been building since the Clemson loss in Charlotte. The Tar Heels have a pattern this season that is worth trusting — they hit a low point, they absorb it, and they come back with some punch. Then NC State. Will Wade didn't exactly hide the ball on this one — the Wolfpack head coach essentially acknowledged the likelihood of a Dayton First Four appearance before the selection committee made it official. The road from 9-2 in ACC play to a play-in game in Dayton is one of the steepest late season descents the bracket has seen in years and it deserves a full explanation.

Patrick Stevens — Senior OG Media Bracketologist — gets into the selection committee's evaluation process, the bubble logic that shaped the final field, the mechanical bracket construction that determined NC State's placement and more. Meanwhile, the Carolina Hurricanes get their catch-up segment and the OG Sports Phone closes the show the right way — Triangle fans processing a whole bunch of things.

Duke Are Back-to-Back ACC Champions | Virginia Limits Boozer But Devils Find a Way | Bracketology Mar 15, 2026

Show notes

Duke are your back-to-back ACC Tournament Champions — and Virginia made them earn every single second of it. The Cavaliers held Cameron Boozer to his lowest scoring game of the season. And Duke found a way to win anyway with key rebounds, timely stops, clutch contributions from role players, and free throws that held up when it mattered most.

Ovies & Giglio are live from Charlotte breaking down the championship and what back-to-back ACC titles mean for Duke heading into March Madness. Plus! OG Media Senior Bracketologist Patrick Stevens joins the show to discuss how the ACC Tournament will shape the NCAA Tournament. And of course, your OG Sports Phone calls.

North Carolina Falls to Clemson | ACC Tournament Loss Raises March Madness Questions | OG After Dark Mar 13, 2026

Show notes

North Carolina had found something without Caleb Wilson. All of it walked out the building in Charlotte against Clemson. The offense was stagnant through most of the game. Turnovers didn't help. Free throw shooting continues to be an issue. And while the Heels made it a game against the Tigers late and had a chance to rally for a win, folks are wondering if this is this a sign of things to come in the NCAA Tournament.

Ovies & Giglio are live from Charlotte with the honest reaction on OG After Dark -- presented by Bloomin Blinds.

NC State Sent Packing | Wade Addresses LSU Rumors | Panthers Won NFL Free Agency | Bracketology & ACC Coaching | 03.12 Mar 12, 2026

Show notes

Time for another Butcher's Market OG Live...from Charlotte!

NC State's ACC Tournament run is over. Virginia beat the Wolfpack for the third time this season — and while it was closer than the regular season meetings, it fell right in line with this team's ceiling against better competition. The NCAA Tournament is next but the real conversation has already shifted to Will Wade's offseason pivot heading into year two in Raleigh. The Athletic's Brendan Marks joins to discuss that — plus which ACC programs like Syracuse, Boston College, Georgia Tech and potentially Pitt need to get serious about their next head coaching hire right now.

LockedOn Panthers host Julian Council comes through to make the case that Carolina quietly won NFL free agency — and that this franchise believes it can do more than sneak into the playoffs on a wild card.

And of course, your OG Sports Phone closes it out live from the ACC Tournament.
