    Mississippi State insider Steve Robertson joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about where the MSU defense is the strongest and weakest and names one offensive lineman as a possible NFL draft pick live in the BankPlus Studio. Steve talks about his expectations for redshirt sophomore linebacker John Lewis and the possibility of him starting at the position in game one of the season. Steve tells Bo that he feels good about the depth the team has at the linebacker positions but is not confident in certain parts of the secondary. Steve notes that the cornerbacks seem to be in good shape with NFL-like talent in Decamerion Richardson and says that he is more athletic than recent top draft picks from Starkville. Steve notes the weakness at safety for the Bulldogs and talks about the importance of supplementing strong pass rushing to make up for the soft spot.

Bo breaks down why Jayden Daniels could be considered the best in the conference and notes that either Jaxson Dart and Spencer Sanders should be considered in the top 4 of the discussion. Bo goes into talking about how Mississippi State and Ole Miss should always be ranked in the top 15 to 20 for recruiting and mentions the schools closing the gap between other SEC schools. The guys talk about the importance of the NIL collectives at Ole Miss and Mississippi State in order to keep closing in on the level of talent other schools in the conference bring in. Mike talks through the reality that Spencer Sanders wouldn't transfer to Ole Miss without having a good idea that he is in contention for the starting role. Mike and Bo talk about Dart starting at USC and Sanders coming from Oklahoma State in a "quick throw" offense and if the battle is over once the starter is named in August. Mike talks about production as a factor to decide if the starter keeps their position after the first few games of the season and also notes that injury can always play a role in introducing a new starter. Mike and Bo breaks down the matchup between LSU and Mississippi State and Mike is intrigued by the Ole Miss vs Tulane game in New Orleans. Mike lists Florida State as a true contender for the college football playoffs and notes that the tigers will be the toughest opponent for the Seminoles all season. Mike goes into FSU QB Jordan Travis and believes he is just what the Seminoles need to propel themselves into the conversation as one of the best teams in the nation, as long as they mix in the run game as well.
