Near Death Experience Feb 02, 2026

This week I'm talking to Kimberly Clark Sharp about her book 'AFTER THE LIGHT: What I Discovered on the Other Side of Life That Can Change Your World' and her part in the Maria's shoe case.

Death is nothing to fear-and life without fear can be lived to the fullest. This is Kimberly Clark Sharp's message from her extraordinary experience during the time after her heart suddenly stopped beating and she lay on the sidewalk, not breathing, and without a pulse. Swept into a peaceful loving place of brilliant golden light and warm comfort, she saw, for the first time, the meaning of life-and death. Thereafter, Kimberly, with hamster Toto at her side, left Kansas for Seattle-known as "the Emerald City"-to fulfill a destiny devoted to the service of others as foreseen at the end of her near-death experience. Guided by a new sensitivity to the presence of angels, demons and other invisibilities, Kimberly attained a Masters degree in Social Work at the University of Washington and began a career in medical social work that put her in direct contact with dying people-and people who almost died and came back. It is the inspirational stories of these near-death experiences, as well as Kimberly's own life challenges in love, family life and the diagnosis of breast cancer, that form the core of this surprisingly funny page-turner of a book.

Kimberly Clark Sharp, MSW, LiCSW had a near-death experience at twenty-two. She is the author of After the Light: The Spiritual Path to Purpose (Wm. Morrow & Co. 1995); audio (HarperCollins 1995). Kimberly Clark Sharp is the founder of Seattle International Association of Near-Death Studies, the world’s oldest and largest support group for near death experiencers, since 1982. Kimberly is an international conference and workshop speaker, a consultant to news and entertainment media, and has been published in many textbooks, journals, and magazines. She worked for two decades as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington. She co-taught a Terminal Illness Seminar at the University of Washington, School of Medicine.

Shared Death Experiences Jan 29, 2026

In this episode, we step gently into the quiet, intimate world of shared death experiences, those rare and deeply human moments when the boundary between the living and the dying seems to soften, and something meaningful is perceived in the space between them. These experiences are not about spectacle or drama. They are about presence, stillness, and connection. They happen in hospital rooms, bedrooms, war zones, and quiet homes, often unnoticed by the outside world, yet profoundly life-changing for those who witness them.

We explore what it means when a person who is not dying finds themselves sharing in the transition of someone who is. Sometimes this comes as a feeling of peace, sometimes as light, sometimes as a presence, and sometimes simply as a deep knowing that something sacred is taking place. These are not stories told to impress or persuade, but stories told because they stay with people for the rest of their lives.

The episode touches on the remarkable account of Karl Skala, a soldier in the First World War, who witnessed something profoundly gentle and luminous while sitting beside a dying comrade in the midst of battlefield chaos. It also explores modern testimonies from families, carers, and loved ones who describe sensing a shared crossing at the moment of death, moments that feel less like loss and more like accompaniment.

Past Life Regession Jan 20, 2026

This is a recording of me undergoing a past life regression. In this moment, I’m not acting as presenter or commentator, but as the subject of the session itself. What you hear is exactly how it unfolded.

As the session progresses, you’ll hear my voice soften and slow as I move deeper into the experience. I describe images, emotions, and impressions as they arise, often tentatively, sometimes with long pauses in between. These silences are part of the process. They mark moments of listening inwardly, allowing memories from beyond this lifetime to surface in their own time.

For me, past life regression is a spiritual practice, one that opens a doorway to the continuity of the soul and the deeper story we carry with us. During this session, I wasn’t analysing or questioning what appeared. I was simply witnessing it, trusting that what came forward was meaningful, even if it arrived only in fragments.
