John Burroughs is one of the primary witnesses to a mass UFO sighting in December, 1980. He and others saw UFOs on multiple nights near the Bentwaters Royal Air Force Base in Suffolk, UK, which was on lease to the US Air Force. Now he is suffering from medical issues that may be related to these events, but is being denied his military medical records. A couple weeks ago we spoke with his lawyer, Pat Frascogna, who says the records are classified. In fact, the USAF denied Burroughs was in the military at all in 1980, but they have fixed this "error" at the behest of a request from Arizona Senator John McCain's office. We talk to John about what he experienced in the Rendlesham forest, outside of RAF Bentwaters, and we ask about other controversial aspects of his sightings, such as the dates of the events, which have been debated. We also talk about his efforts to get his military records, and to get other documents released regarding the Rendlesham forest incident. Travis Walton had one of the most famous and fascinating alleged UFO abduction experiences. It was documented in the movie Fire in the Sky. However, while the movie did portray much of the events surrounding the encounter accurately, the events onboard the spacecraft were completely fictional. Nancy Birnes is the former editor of UFO Magazine. She has been a journalist she was in 11th grade in1964. She has won many awards, including the Samuel Shellabarger Award for Creative Writing when she graduated from Princeton, summa cum laude, in 1979. Her husband Bill Birnes, was co-host of the TV show UFO Hunters, and has authored several books. We talk to Nancy about UFO Magazine, its status, and how she and Bill got involved with it. Pat Fascogna is a lawyer who has taken up the case of two men who were witnesses to one of the most important UFO events. John Burroughs and Jim Penniston were part of Air Force Security at the Bentwaters Air Force base in 1980 when they were sent to check out anomalous lights being seen in Rendlesham Forest. They both got close to a large, bright, glowing light, and Penniston says he examined and touched a triangular craft that floated above the forest floor. The next night many other base personnel, including the deputy base commander, also saw UFOs. Burroughs and Penniston now suspect that medical issues they have developed may be related to their UFO experience. However, the government has withheld their medical records. They enlisted the help of Frascogna, who we talk to about their efforts to get these records. Some of which, Frascogna believes have been classified.
Norio has been investigating UFOs for decades. He specializes in his home state of New Mexico, especially regarding the alleged secret base in Dulce and cattle mutilations in that area. Norio has also spent a lot of time researching Area 51. In 1990, Norio created the Civilian Intelligence Network, which he calls "a citizens' oversight committee on government accountability, a grassroots watchdog group established to help ensure liberty, justice and freedom of information for all." Lakita Adams is the state director for the North Carolina chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Lakita's interest in the UFO subject began when she was nine years old, and witnessed a large fireball with her parents. In high school, she wrote her first research paper on the subject of UFOs, and for the last 12 years has studied the subject. In 2011, she became a MUFON Field Investigator in North Carolina, and has investigated over 100 cases. She has a BA in English from UNC-G, and has taught in the Randolph County Schools, Randolph Community College and the NC Zoo, where she was an environmental educator for several years. Yvonne Smith is a hypnotherapist and has been one of the leading researchers of alien abduction for decades. She has made many media appearances, and has been at the forefront of the topic. She founded the Close Encounter Research Organization (CERO) in 1991 to help inform the public on the phenomenon and to provide support for those who feel they have experienced alien abduction. Yvonne has recently released a new book, Coronado: The President, The Secret Service and Alien Abductions. The book chronicles her investigation of strange events that took place during a conference in 1994 at the famous Hotel del Coronado, which she hosted. During the conference, U.S. President Bill Clinton gave a talk in another part of the hotel. Over the years, Yvonne has uncovered evidence that some of the attendees of the conference may have been abducted, despite the heavy presence of secret service personnel due to the president's visit. Frank Kimbler teaches Geology and other earth sciences at the high school and college level at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell. Upon moving to Roswell, Kimbler decided to put his skills to use to try and find physical evidence of the alleged UFO crash in the nearby desert. He has since found several pieces of metal and plastic that he finds very interesting. One piece of metal has undergone isoptic analysis that has shown the piece may have been manufactured off-planet. We catch up with Kimbler to find where he is in the testing of his materials and to find out about his new discoveries.
Ruben Uriarte and Carlos Guzman have been investigating UFO cases in Mexico for decades. Carlos from Mexico, and Ruben from this side of the border. They and their colleagues have collaborated on an updated English version of the book UFOs Over Mexico: Encounters With Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. The first version of the book was published in Mexico in Spanish by authors Carlos Guzman and Alfonso Salazar. American authors and UFO investigators Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte recently added more case files and republished it in English. The book contains some amazing UFO cases, including possible UFO crashes. We talk to authors Ruben and Carlos about their investigations and some of the cases in the book.
