270 | Discussion of Free Speech and "Cancel Culture" | Interview with Jason and Raha Wala Nov 23, 2021

Show notes

Constitutional lawyer and avid gamer Raha Wala joins the show to discuss how we speak with one another on the internet. I continue to be optimistic that we can improve the quality of our online discussions about games. So, in this show, we define difficult terms like censorship, cancellation, and criticism so that we can focus on clear meanings and have less of a chance of misinterpreting one another. At least, that's the hope! ----- Shelf Stories YouTube (with video of this recording) - www.youtube.com/shelfstories __________________________________ YouTube - www.youtube.com/onestopcoopshop www.youtube.com/channel/UCPCIkULbgzMEW612cSdUX7Q Discord - discord.gg/p4jX8AF Facebook - www.facebook.com/onestopcoopshop Donate to One Stop Co-op Shop - www.patreon.com/onestop Email - onestopcoopshop@gmail.com

264 | The Great Debate About Clickbait | with Jason And Ignacy Trzewiecek Nov 03, 2021

Show notes

Jason was invited to the Portal Games Vlog by Ignacy Trzewiecek to talk about growing online communities and getting more attention for the things we do. In particular, we discuss the virtues and vices of using clickbait video titles, defined here as any title meant to elicit negative emotions. Ignacy and I disagree in many respects, but it was nice to have a fruitful, intelligent conversation. __________________________________ YouTube - www.youtube.com/onestopcoopshop www.youtube.com/channel/UCPCIkULbgzMEW612cSdUX7Q Discord - discord.gg/p4jX8AF Facebook - www.facebook.com/onestopcoopshop Donate to One Stop Co-op Shop - www.patreon.com/onestop Email - onestopcoopshop@gmail.com
