On Fire Fantasy: Minutes Over Name! Tank Resistant Fantasy Strategy for Your Playoffs! Feb 24, 2026

Show notes

Minutes Over Names: The Waiver Wire Strategy Winning Fantasy Playoffs In this episode of On Fire Fantasy, Jacob Dunne breaks down the new tanking strategy impacting fantasy basketball — and why name value no longer matters in points leagues. With most fantasy playoffs just three weeks away, teams aren’t blatantly shutting players down. Instead, they’re limiting starters to 15–20 minutes while quietly giving extended run to developmental pieces. This episode focuses on the teams fully leaning into development — Washington, Indiana, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Utah — and the players whose minutes are trending up (or down). WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:• How the NBA’s new tanking loophole affects fantasy basketball• Why recognizable starters are becoming liabilities• Which bench players are seeing 28–30+ minutes• How to prioritize opportunity over reputation for playoff positioning Each player discussed is:️ Seeing stable or increasing minutes️ Benefiting from developmental focus️ Positioned for short-term points league value️ Worth adding, streaming, or holding in fantasy basketball Got a fantasy basketball question? On Fire Fantasy: Must-Add Volume Plays with Upside! | Max Out Games in These Formats! Feb 21, 2026

Show notes

3 Must-Add Week 17 Volume Plays with ROS Upside! (Points Leagues)

In this episode of On Fire Fantasy, Jacob Dunne breaks down Week 17 fantasy basketball streamers — players rostered in under 30% of Yahoo leagues who have three games remaining and real opportunity in points leagues.

Week 17 has been stretched across the All-Star break, and this extended scoring period is where fantasy basketball matchups flip. Volume matters more than upside. Production beats potential. Managers who maximize games played gain a major edge heading toward the fantasy playoffs.

This episode focuses on three high-leverage adds based on minutes, role stability, and short-term opportunity — not blind dart throws.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
• Why volume is king in extended scoring periods
• Which three-game players can swing your matchup
• How injuries create short-term fantasy leverage
• How to maximize limited roster moves before the playoffs

Each player discussed is:
️ Under 30% rostered
️ Playing three games in Week 17
️ Seeing real opportunity and role-based production
️ Worth adding or streaming in fantasy basketball points leagues
