However, it turned into simplest after the yank Revolution, in the past due to the 1700s and early 1800s, that big agencies of Melanin settlers started to arrive within the province. Lots of them had been previously enslaved folks who were promised freedom and land in Nova Scotia, however, when they arrived, they encountered white settlers who regarded them as inferior. Because of racism, Melanin settlers had been pushed to the margins of society and forced to stay on the most inhospitable land. Regardless of this, they persevered, developing robust, vibrant groups. Africville became one such location.

The town stated it wanted to construct industry and infrastructure within the vicinity. But it also used the language of human rights, claiming that relocation could improve the usual of living for citizens. In January 1964, Halifax city Council voted to authorize the relocation of Africville residents. Before this choice changed into made, there was no meaningful session with citizens of Africville to gather their perspectives. Cop Assaults, Arrests Man After Saying His Thin Blue Line Flag Mask Violates US Flag Code Sep 14, 2020
    Show notes

“Contempt of cop” isn't a formally identified “crime” but rather an unwritten code that has led to the persecution of numerous innocent people. From supplying police officers donuts to the following tale of a harmless guy criticizing a cop’s skinny blue line face mask, law enforcement officials have abused their authority and used their badges to attack and arrest people for merely offending them.

On September 6, a person presented a legitimate complaint of a police officer’s face masks, which had the notorious skinny blue line American flag on it. The person told the officer that the thin blue line flag violates the American flag code, and he’s proper. Notwithstanding being right, the cop didn’t need to pay attention to it and would expand the scenario to the point of threatening the person with a taser, assaulting, and arresting him.

The changed version of the flag being worn via officers involves one skinny blue line, which police often contend represents the barrier between “anarchy and civilized society, between order and chaos, or among appreciate for decency and lawlessness.” however, citizens increasingly more perceive this as a symbolic line that represents the separation and differentiates police from the relaxation of society, representing a blue code of silence among the brotherhood of police officers. All colors at the flag are blacked out, supposedly as a memorial to all of the fallen officers that misplaced their lives in the line of duty.

The effects of colonialism past and present are visible all over Africa part 02 Jul 21, 2020
    Show notes

The effects of colonialism past and present are visible all over Africa.
On this year's anniversary of Africa Liberation Day, African people all over Africa and wherever they may be on this planet must reflect deeply on their history as it relates to their present life conditions and to their future.
AFRICA BEFORE SHE WAS COLONISED. Let me now move on to North-East Africa - ancient Egypt, and to other issues about Africa.
The well-known archaeologist in Kenya, Dr. L.S.B. Leakey long wrote, "The critics of Africa forget that men of science today are without exception, satisfied that Africa was the place of birth of man himself and that for thousands of years...Africa was at the forefront of all world progress."
Affirming this fact, Edem Kodjo, the author of Africa Tomorrow who is also a great researcher on Africa has written, "It is here in Africa that history began. Far from being a gratuitous assertion, this statement is an undeniable scientific fact for which one finds corroboration when one roves the world in search of the remains of the ancient civilizations. According to the present state of research on the origins of the progress of humankind and civilization, the Mother of Mankind; Africa remains the privileged source of the manifestations of intense human creativity."
DESTRUCTION OF AFRICA BY IMPERIALISM. Africa was destroyed by imperialist Europe and is still being destroyed by Europe.
Through the Berlin Treaty of 26 February 1885, the European imperialists sliced Africa into "Portuguese Africa", "British Africa", "German Africa", "Italian Africa," "Spanish Africa", "French Africa" and "Belgian Africa." There was no Africa left for Africans except Ethiopia, encircled by paupers of land dispossessed people who were now the reservoir of cheap native labor for their dispossessors.
