    Nu Pod with Joshua Toomey & Ro Kohli

    In the world of music podcasting, there are basically two categories – podcasts by fans, and podcasts by famed musicians that have reached the pinnacle of success. Somewhere in the middle of that is the Talk Toomey podcast. Hosted by Joshua Toomey, who previously was a member of national recording artists Primer 55, Talk Toomey avoids the pitfalls of fandom and the backslapping glad handing that comes from successful bands shamelessly talking to each other. Instead, you get focused, powerful and real looks into “the inner circle” of being a hard rock/heavy metal band, complete with questions most are too afraid to ask because their experience doesn’t meet or exceed the level needed to ask and relate. Talk Toomey has been regularly hailed as a top show since the onset, being highlighted on sites like Blabbermouth, Brave Words, etc. Talk Toomey is released for music fans free every Thursday!

Ronnie Radke and Morgan Wallen both cancelled shows respectively and the situations are broken down. Metallica's Lawyer has some thoughts on the Napster trials from back in the day. Eddie Van Halen's guitar sold for almost 4 million dollars.

    DJ Kilmore of Incubus joins Joshua Toomey and Talk Toomey this week. Kilmore and Toomey start the conversation with his ties to Primer 55 and playing on Introduction To Mayhem. The guys talk about the plethora of DJs in bands in the late 90s and 2000s. The changing technology of DJing is broken down. Kilmore talks about how he joined Incubus and how having to almost missing Valentines Day to audition. He also dives into the evolving process of writing music with Incubus. The guys look back at tours with System of a Down, Deftones, Limp Bizkit and Primus. The current status of Incubus is discussed and where Kilmore wants to see the band.     Tony Simerman is the CEO & Creative Director of KnuckleBonz, Inc. Tony joins the Talk Toomey podcast this week to discuss the story behind creating KnuckleBonz and giving all us metalheads a collectable that is also fine art! Tony recalls growing up in the Washington DC area and going to shows with his dad seeing Queen and others. Tony talks about starting the company with a Randy Rhoads statue and talking with Randy's mother during the process. The guys dive into the backstory on doing the statues for Pantera and how Zakk Wylde was involved in the story. Tony talks about doing everything with the bands and how all the statues are fully licensed. Tony ends the talk with some Kiss stories and going to Jimmy Page's house to get photos of the classic jumpsuit he was wearing in the era of the statue.
