Today's word of the day is 'agreement' as in the MLB and MLBPA reached on on all the details of the 2020 season. We've all been waiting for this. It was released that the owners voted unanimously on this, but that's not really true, and here's why (0:06). The biggest issue was always going to be service time and now we know that Mookie Betts will be a free agent this offseason NO MATTER WHAT. Let's talk a little about salary arbitration and what the means (8:36). Another big obstacle was going to be the MLB draft and it looks like it will still go on... but with a twist! MLB Opening Day like you've never heard before (3/26) Mar 26, 2020

Today's word of the day is 'hope' because that's what Opening Day is in MLB . It's hope: winning the World Series, making the playoffs, winning today, not finishing in last place. It's all hope (0:06) So You Wanna Talk To Samson! is special today. People wanted to know about some Opening Days I've been apart of. Let's start with my first ever game... Montreal Expos (2:26). Next up is my first game with the then Florida Marlins (9:02). Can't forget about the time we ran out of hot dogs during our home opener (14:20). Opening Day after winning the World Series was a surreal moment (17:00). Ah yes, 2012, the Marlins Park debut with Muhammad Ali (19:48). Does anyone remember the time the Marlins had a rain delay inside a stadium with a roof? I do (28:49). I'll end today with my final home opener in 2017, the first one without Jose Fernandez, and what that meant to me (32:52). Why did Tom Brady leave the Patriots... MONEY! (3/24) Mar 24, 2020

Today’s word of the day is ‘grandparents’ as in we shouldn’t ever talk about the sacrifice of life to save the economy (0:06). Tom Brady held his introductory press conference... sorry, his video conference... sorry, his conference call with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he said he made up his mind to leave New England after a sitdown with Robert Kraft... interesting (2:23). Olympics are officially postponed, but I have a major problem with the press release (9:37). So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Do you think my “it's just business” mantra to the extreme causes people to lose their compassion for all else except the bottom line (16:22)? The owner of the Sixers and New Jersey Devils, Josh Harris, got absolutely crushed for what he wanted to do with staff payroll. Let me explain what he was trying to do and what he did do (24:45). Coronavirus forces Olympics to be postponed (3/23) Mar 23, 2020

Today's word of the day is 'covidiot' as in people who are hoarding groceries or still partying in groups, basically, not taking this pandemic serious. Don't be a covidiot (0:06). It's very important for us to be accountable in all aspects of life - so here is me being accountable for my errors on Friday (2:25). We all knew the Summer Olympics would not be taking place in 2020... now is the important question... when will they take place (10:48)? So You Wanna Talk Samson!? Today’s word of the day is 'frenzy' as in the NFL free agent frenzy started before it was supposed to start and big names are on the move... reportedly... because it's not legal... or it is legal... (0:06). Tom Brady releases a message that he's leaving the Patriots and the football world has been forever changed (2:41). Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick released some statements that I need to break down (10:37). MLB still doesn't have a plan for what is going to happen because of the coronavirus. Who gets paid? Let's get you updated on the coronavirus: CDC says no large groups in public for the next 8 weeks (4:55). Here's what it means for sports. MLB isn't starting in April or May, maybe June, probably July (6:10). NBA has handled these things perfectly, but today Adam Silver slipped when the words 'financial damage' leaked (10:49). What the NFL chose to do today was shameful... it was tone deaf... the league should have held off for some time (13:35). Trevor Bauer felt like it was necessary to hold a Sandlot-style game to help 'grow the game' in the middle of a pandemic... why (17:33)? The NFL ratified its CBA over the weekend and the vote was way, way closer than I thought it would be (18:35).
