Today's word of the day is 'fervent' as in the final words of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Who was she? A legend, that's who. Let me fill in some listeners on who she was and what she meant to this country. Not only was she one of the most prominent Supreme Court justices ever... she lived a fascinating life of purpose (0:06). The show goes on; on the field and off the field. What happened this weekend in the NFL? Injuries. All the injuries. Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Nick Bosa, Cam Sutton, Drew Lock, Jimmy Garoppolo, Davante Adams and MORE! It was a horrible weekend for injuries (12:40). Review - 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards (27:00). Where's MLB at right now? We're entering the final week of the shortened covid regular season. Who's clinched? The New York Yankees are finally back to playing good baseball. Besides that it's boring in the American League, the real race is in the National League. Justin Verlander missed the entire season with a forearm injury and now he needs Tommy John surgery. Oh boy, he's owed $33M next season and will miss it, his final year on his deal. The worst part about the shortened season? The Washington Nationals. Last season the team was 19-31 and won the World Series. This season the team is 19-30 and will miss the postseason (32:45). Celtics coach Brad Stevens was in danger of his locker room losing control after falling 0-2 to Miami Heat. The team came out and thrashed the Heat in Game 3. How did he do this (43:15)? #waittosee
