#407. Back of the net! United secured a much-needed victory after recent calamitous defeats to Arsenal and Manchester City. Norwich were the perfect submissive, open, opponents. Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood ran riot. Ed & Paul look back on a fine win.
There's plenty of transfer talk, with the gossip surrounding midfielder Bruno Fernandes now unrelenting. Will the Portuguese goalscorer move to Old Trafford? Then there's a look ahead to United's FA Cup Third Round replay against Wolves. As always, plenty of listener questions, and for Patreon backers a discussion about the great football moments we missed.

    A New Low Jan 10, 2020
    Show notes

#406. On this week's Friday pod Ed & Paul look back on a devastating result against Manchester City in the League Cup. It was a game in which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side was completely outclassed, the manager out-thought, and his players out-worked.
There's the fallout from Harry Maguire's injury. Why do United players get so many muscle injuries and is Ole's injury management exacerbating the problem.
Finally, there's a look ahead to the weekend fixture against bottom-club Norwich. Can United get back on track with no midfielders or central defenders actually fit?

Keeping the Wolves at Bay Jan 06, 2020
    Show notes

#405. This week's Monday pod looks back on all the FA Cup action as United drew at Wolves on Sunday evening. Having lost at Molineux twice last season, it was always going to be a tough third round tie. Ed & Paul review the action as United take the tie back to Old Trafford for a far-from-desired replay.
Also on this week's pod, an interview with Sam Homewood, host of MUTV's Kicking Off and the new Manchester United podcast. Sam also fronts ITV's flagship kids weekend breakfast show, Scrambled, was a roving report on Love Island, and was once a mainstay of Full Time Devils.
Finally, there's a look ahead to Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final home leg against Manchester City. Will there be any fit midfielders left? Can United repeat November's shock victory over City?
As usual, plenty of listener questions and for backers, a look at Wayne Rooney's post-United career as he takes his first steps into coaching.

A Kick up the Arsenal Jan 03, 2020
    Show notes

#404. United's victories over Newcastle and Burnley seem a distant memory after yet another set-back for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team. Defeat at Arsenal was not just a sixth in the Premier League this season, but perhaps a nadir in a campaign of too many humiliating lows. Devoid of ideas and any intensity, United were comfortably beaten in North London. Ed & Paul digest another low and ask how United pick up from here with a tough schedule ahead? There's a discussion about Paul Pogba's future and the pod ends with a preview of the weekend's FA Cup tie with Wolves at Molineux.

    Festive Cheer Dec 31, 2019
    Show notes

#403. Two games, two comfortable victories over the festive period. Newcastle and Burnley are just the type of defensive-minded teams that United have struggled to beat this season. But four goals against the Geordies and two on the road versus Burnley secured six points. Ed & Paul digest the two victories, look ahead to United's New Year's Day game at Arsenal and take in plenty of listener questions.

    Rick-et man Dec 23, 2019
    Show notes

#401. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team went down in humiliating fashion at Vicarage Road to end a promising run in the Premier League. Two horrendous defensive errors, including David de Gea's sixth error leading to a goal in the past 18 months, sank the travelling Reds. Ed & Paul cover all the fallout from Sunday's game, then look ahead to the Boxing Day fixture with Newcastle at Old Trafford and the away day at Burnley next weekend.

City Semi Awaits Dec 20, 2019
    Show notes

#400. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team set up an EFL Cup semi-final against Manchester City after a hard-fought victory over Colchester at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Ed & Paul discuss the 3-0 win over the League One side; a game in which United struggled to convert possession into goals during a turgid first half. But Rashford and Martial scored in the second and United will now face City over two legs for a spot in the final.
Also on this week's Friday pod, a look ahead to Untied's weekend fixture against Watford at Vicarage Road and a review of recent managerial changes in the Premier League.

Greenwood Saves United, Again Dec 15, 2019
    Show notes

#399. No 18-year-old should have this much pressure, but Mason Greenwood is fast becoming the highlight of Manchester United's season. After scoring twice against AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday, the teenager struck again to save a point for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team on Sunday. Ed & Paul digest all the fallout from another troubling draw – a step backwards after progress in recent weeks.
There are plenty of listener questions, a look ahead to Colchester United in the League Cup Quarter Final on Wednesday, and for backers we round up our games of the decade!

The Mason Show Dec 13, 2019
    Show notes

#398. United secured top spot in Europa League Group L with a comfortable victory over AZ Alkmaar at Old Trafford. The match finally came to life in the second half, but away from United's progress the real headline was the performance of Mason Greenwood, the 18-year-old striker who is staking a strong claim for a permanent place in the team.
There's also a preview of United's weekend fixture against Everton at Old Trafford. Can United beat the rejuvenated Toffees?
