Sharp and Silky Slim talk about their legacy in the "game", how he moves in the industry based on what he learned from the streets, and more!
-----
00:00 Intro
1:15 - Silky Slim on moving on from the game, applying the pimp mindset to business. “The world is full of pimps and hoes”
4:57 - The origin of the name Silky Slim, a combination of nicknames from his OG Primo Velasquez
9:15 - Thoughts on how the game is played today. Not paying any mind to the squares who have snuck into the game via social media
15:25 - The game requires strength. Women in the game are the strongest women. There are a lot of women in the game that shouldn’t be
18:38 - Sharp and Silky coin the phrase “Pimp in your lane.” Not encouraging people to jump in the streets
24:42 - Importance of investing money. Resisting the urge for instant gratification
29:33 - Silky doesn’t want to be in the game forever.
32:10 - Everyone always thought Silky was older because he had been in the game so long. Grew his hair out because he couldn’t afford a haircut
37:01 - Silky doesn’t feel like being in a relationship should be hard. Avoiding toxic bitches, people, and relationships. Not trying to change people
39:27 - Realizing that you can’t be successful in the game and in music at the same time
40:45 - Recording his latest album while on house arrest. Most thoughtful project yet.
48:48 - Silky reflects on being named “Pimp of the Year.” Sharp voted for him
