Racism, Christian Nationalism and Media Manipulation: A Deep Dive with Scott Huffman Feb 07, 2025

Show notes

In this explosive episode, we’re joined by former Congressional candidate Scott Huffman for an unfiltered conversation about the alarming rise of Christian nationalism and how it fuels the racist undercurrents of the MAGA movement. Together with Susan, Scott breaks down the unsettling reality of far-right extremism in North Carolina and beyond, including the shocking story of how Donald Trump publicly backed a self-proclaimed “Black Nazi” during an election—a move that left many questioning the limits of political decency.

The conversation pulls no punches as they explore how Christian nationalism isn’t just a fringe ideology but a driving force behind MAGA’s political agenda. They discuss the dangerous merging of faith and far-right politics, the normalization of extremist views, and how these forces work to undermine democracy under the guise of patriotism.

Scott and Susan also take a hard look at Trump’s chaotic leadership, from his most ridiculous decisions to his calculated manipulation of public opinion. They raise critical questions about the role of mainstream media: is it a watchdog of democracy, or has it become a tool for twisting the truth and amplifying dangerous narratives?

If you’re ready for a raw, thought-provoking discussion that goes beyond the headlines, this is an episode you won’t want to miss.
