    Show notes

Have the Saints put together their most talented roster in team history?

Time will tell if everything comes together and the 2020 team matches it potential. The current top team, and this is an opinion shared by many who were around when the team won the Super Bowl, in many minds was the 2011 team.

So, we go through both rosters and see which positions groups are better that team and the one that is about to start its season. We also discuss why Drew Brees never won an MVP, and share the next five players on our top-20 lists.

Will Adam Trautman impact how the offense operates? Jun 17, 2020
    Show notes

Adam Trautman is one of the more intriguing additions to the offense.

The tight end will open up some aspects of the offense that were shelved last season, but much depends on how quickly he gets up to speed and how his abilities translate to the NFL after playing his college ball at Dayton.

On this week's episode of Saints Talk, we discuss Trautman's transition, whether peak Marshon Lattimore or peak Sheldon Rankins is more valuable to the defense, Alvin Kamara's bounce back and much more.

What should the Saints expect from Alvin Kamara next season? May 20, 2020
    Show notes

Alvin Kamara might be the most important figure on the Saints next season.

If the running back stays healthy, he has limitless potential and makes New Orleans a matchup nightmare. He could be the difference between playing football in February or not.

So, if he plays all 16 games, how many yards are a reasonable projection? Is 1,700 too high? How about 2,000?

We discuss this topic, as well as a bunch of other things on this week's podcast.
